I can't  watch streaming vids from the site I'm trying to access. This
they have told me. If I try to go to Open URL I get "The file name,
diectory name, or volumn label syntax is incorrect". If I try to
download, I get the file buy when I try to see it I get I get "The

Using Media Player, is there anyway I can burn a .wav file as an audio file
without converting to .cda?  I don't want to save as a data file.

Windows Media Player has never been able to play full-screen video right.
I've got a fast enough Mac for it (whereas my iBook can't even play WMP files
without being choppy as all get out), a dual 867G4 with 32MB VRAM on my

I have a mac osx. I've downloaded the installer for wmp 9
for mac and when I use stuffit I get this message "An error
has occurred while expanding the file 'windows media.sitx'
(format error)"

I have a PDA PPC which has WMA on it with win 2002. I have installed WMA 9
for Mac on my G4 (Panther). WMA on the G4 will not play the wav, files
created by my PDA.

I am using Mac OSX v 10.3. I had downloaded the Windows Media Player and
installed it. However, I cannot seem to delete the the file. The message
appeared stating that the *****.htm files are locked and cannot be deleted.

Is there any type of SDK or API available for working
with Windows Media on Mac OS X?
I have looked in a number of places but turn up nothing
except for some odd and obscure references to an SDK for
installed WMP 9.0 for Mac21 Jul 2004 22:31 GMT3
but when trying to open the icon in the dock just bounces up and down for
about 45 seconds and never opens the application.
Any thoughts?

WMP 7.1 Installer Locks Up System20 Jul 2004 23:04 GMT6
Every time I have downloaded the WMP 7.1 installer and tried to install
on my G3 it locks up the system when it says to select continue to turn
off all applications.  I hit continue and the thing just freezes and I
have to reboot, never to install.  No way with the option buttons ...
