I am using the Mac OS9.X. I have recently installed the WMP 7.1. It seems working quite well with most of the files, but some files, they loaded with sound but no visual playback at all. What is the problem? Can anybody help me out here? Thanks!

I downloaded Windows Media Player 9 for the Mac OS X, but I get the same messages I got before--the file was compressed using an unsupported codec, and I GET NO AUDIO. Does anyone know how to deal with this problem. The file is an .asx

I downloaded WMP for Mac several times, and it always just shows up on my desktop as a document called windows media.sitx. I installed Stuffit software to be able to do the install, but I keep having trouble. Any help out there? Thanks. Frank

I have compressed a mpg1 file, which plays fine in VMP on my Dell PC. But I have also QuickTime installed, as I have on my lovely Mac. So my question is, can VMP play MPEG1 on both PCs and Macs natively, or is there some QuickTime help plug-in or similar running in the background?

I have Mac OS 10.2.8. When I play .wmv files on my hard drive, everything is fine. But when I try to click on a .wmv link in Internet Explorer, the .wmv file will not show up. Instead a text file comes up. I cannot just

The Neptune website says WMP9 is not supported for Mac and so I can't play movies on those sites. I have the mac WMP 9 on my computer though. Shouldn't I bee able to use this? Is it just neptune? It says it's coming soon, how soon?

I have an iMac equipped with the Windows Media Player 7.1 When I attempt to listen to some radio stations I receive a warning that says "channel does not support the stream format". What channel? How can I rectify this?

does anyone know where i could find an avi codec for WMV9?? If no one knows where to find one, how bout a WMV3 codec for VLC, Quicktime, or Real Player. I don't want anyone telling me MPlayer plays WMV3 endoced files cause trust me, it says it does, but it can't. And don't say ...

I have tried in vain to dl wmp from the MS site. When i click on download nothing happens. I have tried in both Safari and IE. Any suggestions?
