I can download the file to the desktop, file name is Windows

Hi. When trying to install version 9 on my Powerbook G3 (200/firewire/
pismo) the installer hangs at the 'installing' box while 'searching'. It
goes no further and I have to force a quit to get out. I redownloaded
the installer to no avail. I also repaired permissions.

...WMP for OSX sure sucks. Every time I try to use it, I get dead-ended
by a DRM or codec issue. What a waste of time.

I have noted that the same wmv file DOES play on Windows Media Player
9 loaded on a PC with both video and sound.  I am at a loss as to why it
will not on the Mac OS X version of WMP9.  Am I missing some plug ins?

I've got a powerful Mac with lots of memory. I'm using the latest Mac
OS X system. I'm using the latest Windows Media Player 9. I'm trying to
get live streaming video [of horseracing from Xpressbet.com], but I
can't. My Windows Player comes up, but then a dialogue box says

I had copied a number of my CDs in Windows XP  using Windows Media
Player 9for recording in *.wma format.  Windows Media Player 9 plays
all of the songs in the list of each CD without prompting - one right
after the other.

I am running Mac OS 10.2.8 and have installed Windows Media Player
9.  This question may have been answered previously, but I couldn't
find anything about it through the search, so I'm going to ask anyway.  
How do I fix the following error:

MAC OSX but when I now that I have updated to WMP9 I get a
message saying that the codec is not recognised.  The
webmaster ensures me that WMP9 should work with their live
