I was able to get the Macs to play the asx (asf) files inside our network,
but not outside the network.  The PC plays it fine both inside and outside
the network.  It's being run off Windows Media Server 2003.

Can WMP be used via Safari or Mozilla?

I've moved .wmv files to my new mac and downloaded the Windows Media
player for OS X, but only the sound of the files plays, the screen
stays blank when I try to play like on my PC.  Why no image?

I have tried to download Media Player for OSX from various sites
(including Microsoft) but when I click the download button the browser
bar moves to just past http:/ and stalls.
I have left it for hours to see if it will start to download but no joy,

Hi, I have a simple question: how do I access the cd-rom
drive from Windows media for mac.  I tried going to file
and then open, but can't seem to find the cd-rom drive in
the open menu.

seconds,  a pause/void of sound occurs which transcribes on

I am using version 7.1.3.0267 for Mac OS X.  Frustrated at the number
of unsupported codecs, I went to HELP/CHECK FOR PLAYER UPGRADE

i am running OS 10.2.6 and i can download the player for OS X, but
when i attempt to open it it won't... the colorwheel just spins and the
icon bounces in the dock as if it is opening, but does not open.  what

Does Microsoft (or anyone) offer a video encoder running on Mac OSX
that will produce a WMV file?
From what I have seen only Discreet Cleaner can do this -- but its
around $600!!

with os9 to get this to work i had to drop the wmp plug-in
into netscape plug-in folder, does anyone know how to do
the same foe osx?
