My Host OS is Vista SP1 and Guest OS is Windows Server 2003 Std. I installed SQL Server 2005 Developer Editiion on my guest OS. Now my question is how I can connected to the SQL Server installed in the guest OS, from Host OS. Is this possible ? If so, how ?

The documentation for Virtual PC 2007 says you need to install the OS and software when you create a virutal machine. We already have a server created with the OS, BizTalk, Visual Studio already set up and I would like to "clone" this server as a vitual machine, is this possible>

How did everyone apparently miss the point of the initial thread question? Although some useful information was presented regarding running Vista in a virtual environment, this was not the answer to Abe's initial question.

I thought this product was to be OS neutral. I haven't tried to reinstall any of my old OSes until recently because of having a library already built up from the past. Anyway, I needed a version of Windows 95 when I discovered it would just crash after the first reboot
