| Kernel panics with dual CPUs | 30 Nov 2006 21:05 GMT | 11 |
I know that this topic has been done to death, but I have seen little evidence as to what one should actually *do* when encountering kernel panics. I'm using VPC 7.02 on a dual 2.3GHz G5 with 1GB of RAM, running OS X 10.4.8. I've installed Windows XP (SP1 upgraded to SP2), and I

I have a 20" G5 iMac running Mac OS 10.3.9 with VPC (with the Home XP OS). I have been quite happy for a while now and VPC seems to have worked well enough for the one program I need it for (Personal Ancestral File - PAF).

| VPC and Mac OS X Firewall | 27 Nov 2006 14:38 GMT | 2 |
Please forgive me if this question has been covered before, but my ISP only keeps one month's worth of newsgroup messages. I tried searching through that meager archive and didn't see this question. How does the Mac OS X firewall affect a VPC guest running with shared

Successful for most?? I've had installation problems, but that may be due to not figuring out how to disable my Avast anti-virus. (Don't work on Windows XP that much) How do you "disable" a program like this anyway? So easy on a Mac.

| Parellels and Core Duo | 17 Nov 2006 22:33 GMT | 11 |
With all the problems that I've had with VPC on my Mac I'm so welcoming the Parallels software on the Core Duo machines so that I can finally deliver VPC into the dustbin and try to forget the money that I've wasted on this product.

| VPC 6 & Web Cams | 10 Nov 2006 15:21 GMT | 2 |
Does anyone have any experiences with getting any type of Web cam to work with Windows XP Pro on VPC 6? I realize that any USB 2 device I plug into my Mac comes across the Windows guest as a USB 1.1, so I'm not expecting USB web cams to work. How about FireWire?
