mirror printing15 Feb 2006 21:42 GMT1
I replaced the printer.  New printer is Brother mfc420cn.  All printing
from vpc is reversed.
What can I do to fix this?  The old printer was a Brother mfc3820cn,
which worked fine until the printer broke.

The image I had created (directory "Virtual PC List") before formatting I
saved and now again put on my newly formatted computer. But unfortunately

More on VM Additions Printer13 Feb 2006 05:45 GMT6
I have recently upgraded from VPC 6.1 to 7.02 and am running on a G5

there was no sign of a VM Additions Printer ikn the Windows 'Printer
and Fax' window. Uninstalling and reinstalling VM Additions generated a
XP vs. XP Pro13 Feb 2006 02:59 GMT2
Any compelling reason I should buy XP Pro as opposed to XP Home to run
in VPC7 on my Dual 2.0 G5? I use VPC only for managing a huge Quicken
file, plus running tax software. I also occasionally fire up IE. Will
Pro be more tweakable to optimize vitual performance or should I save

I recently bought an Intel Core iMac and Microsoft Virtual PC for Mac
Version 7 with XP Professional.  After I initiate the installation of
Virtual PC from the CD, when it reboots, it gives me an error message
about "security" issues in my "startupitems" file, then it closes down

VPC 7.02 Can't set "show start menu in dock"12 Feb 2006 02:01 GMT7

press Ok, but then if I go back to the settings the setting has
disappeared.  The start menu never appears in the dock. I've tried
uninstalling the add-ins, reinstalling, rebooting both the VPC machine

Help Needed With Page File and Hard Drive Maitenance10 Feb 2006 14:41 GMT2
I have three problems that I need some help with:
1.  (And I realize this is not strictly a VPC problem) In order to
manage proper defragmentation of the C: drive, I have created a 1 GB
Virtual Hard Drive (F:) to use exclusively for the Page File.  I

XP vx. XP Pro09 Feb 2006 20:36 GMT1
Strictly from a VPC7 standpoint, is there reason why I should shell out
more money for XP Pro to run in VPC7, as opposed to XP Home? I use
Quicken and tax software primarily; sometimes IE as well. Is Pro more
tweakable to optimize performance in VPC? I looked for old threads on
Problem with AVG anti-virus and Win98 VD from esSJae.com09 Feb 2006 16:15 GMT5
After using Steve's Win98 VD to help create my Win98 OS in VPC7, I
later installed the free AVG anti-virus from Grisoft. On rebooting, the
AVG detector kicked in during the DOS start-up--followed by Steve's
install screen asking for the WIN98 CD. There is an obvious conflict
RAM Allocation09 Feb 2006 15:23 GMT4
I've just upgraded my IMac to 1.5G RAM.  WHen I go into the PC Settings
for my VPC7.0.2 my available RAM is still maxed at 512MB.  Any ideas as
to why VPC seems not to be picking up the additional 1GB?
Cheers,
