when ever i try to install Linux (tried Redhat and few other versions)
the iso would load to the welcome screen and as soon as i press install
the VPC keeps complaining that the it encoiuntered and needs to
restart. I have been able to successfuly install windows XP pro

The XP Professional Setup says, "Caution, formatting this drive will delete
all files in it.
C: Partition1 15369 MB (15355 MB free)
Actually I only have 10GB free, so I don't know where the 15 comes from.

This has happened to me twice in a row now.  I go to start -> Shut Down,
and it restarts instead.  What is up with that?

hard drive file has been expanded, and now I have hardly any space on my
real hard drive left. Can someone explain to me how I find out how much
space on my real disk the VPC disk image is taking up, and how ...

I have a VHD file that was created in Virtual PC for windows, it should I
believe be possible to import this into VPC7 on Mac.
The import process seems to succeed, but when the OS boots the error "a
fatal processor error occoured" is thrown & the OS restarts.

Does anyone know if it is possible to use MSN Messenger with VPC, and
then use an iSight webcam with it? I already use the isight w/iChat but
I also would like to get it working on MSN. Thanks...

Documented steps required to successfully reclaim zeroed drive space on a
bloated Virtual PC 6 hard drive document (in this example, a Virtual PC hard
drive running Windows XP Pro):

I have purchased "Virtual PC for Mac Version 7 WITH WINDOWS XP
PROFESSIONAL", and can successfully create Virtual PC's; HOWEVER, one of my
installs needed a Windows repair, so I wanted to boot from the Windows XP
Pro CD but I don't seem to have one supplied with the product!

I have VPS 7.0.2 running on OS X 10.4.5.  In VPS, all of the menu items
under "Drives" are grayed.  In  VPC PC Settings, the Shared Files is
marked as "Uninstalled".  Because everything is grayed or uninstalled,
I cannot create any shared folders.  The VCP Help also has disappeared.

In light of Google doing the bidding of the Tyrants in China, I am
resigning from this Google list.

I just updated to 10.4.5, and my VPC 6.1 seems to be hosed on my
Powerbook (G4, 1.5ghz). No programs will open, either from the desktop
or the "start" button. I've discarded hard drive changes, shutdown the
PC, and restarted it. Still no programs will run. Anyone else have this

Does any one know if you can play civ 4 on a power mac with virtual pc 6.1?

Windows to shut down in the normal way, by going to the start button,
and following through to Shut down.  I think it maybe that my Window XP
