Dilemma with USB Flash Drive20 Dec 2005 16:34 GMT4
I am in quite a dilemma with a USB Flash drive under VPC 7 using
Windows 2000 Professional.
When running VPC 7 with Windows XP Pro, and inserting the Flash Drive,
I can go to My Computer and double click on Drive and open files just
VPC 7 with which Windows version?20 Dec 2005 16:00 GMT4
I'm thinking of upgrading my VPC to version 7. I'm currently using
version 6 with Windows 98 -- very outdated, I know. My question is, do I
need to update to a newer Windows version, too, or can I make do with 98
for a little while longer after getting VPC 7?

after installing VPC computer won't sleep18 Dec 2005 03:41 GMT2
After installing Virtual PC 7 with Windows XP Pro, my ibook will no
longer sleep. The screen dims but the hard drive is still whirring. Is
there some setting I should have changed after installing?
Thanks.
Pause problems18 Dec 2005 02:35 GMT2
I've looked everywhere I knew to see if anyone else has been having
this problem.  I can't use the shortcut key Command-escape to pause my
virtual pc anymore.  I've tried screwing around with the preferences,
but it's just not working.  I have no idea if it has anything to do
VPC 5.0.4 problem & question17 Dec 2005 20:58 GMT8
Apologies if this has already been covered in the group, but I haven't
found a similar issue raised.
VPC 5.0.4 was running happily on my iMac even after upgrading my OS to
Jaguar, then started getting errors.  Now it won't load at all -- can't
Nokia N7017 Dec 2005 14:36 GMT2
I am running Virtual PC 7.0.2 with Windows XP pro. I purchased  it so I
could use my Nokia N70 as a modem, and transfer music to it, however
when it is plugged in the computer cannot 'see' it. This even happens
when it is selected in the USB setting menu.

updates/patches via OnCommend?16 Dec 2005 19:21 GMT1
when windows PCs in an intranet are centrally updated and
security-patched via remote control (OnCommand, CCM server): how do I
get this to work with Virtual PC 7.0.2 running on
G5 / OSX10.3.9? Do I need to access the network by virtual switch?
Norton problems with VPC 7 Mac15 Dec 2005 05:09 GMT10
I am running Windows 2000 with VPC 7 for Mac (10.4.3) on a PB G4 Ti 667.
After many attempts I have been unable to install Norton Internet
Security 2004 (which Norton says it doesn't support with VPC), so I am
using NIS 2000 instead.
No software verification14 Dec 2005 17:53 GMT5
Hi, So far on VPC7 for Mac with WinXP Home, I can surf the web,
download and install programs, send and receive E-mail, but when the
installed software (including WinXP) goes to it's registration page and
I click "Submit", it just times out without connecting to their site.

SP2 slowed my virtual machine 50%13 Dec 2005 22:03 GMT2
After reinstalling WinXP Home, I decided to undergo an experiment where
I would benchmark my new VM compared my old VM.  Since my existing VM
had been faithfully upgraded via Windows Update, I assumed that it's
performance would "stand pat" if not improve.  However, my existing VM
USB Cameras and VPC 713 Dec 2005 20:13 GMT1
I asked this question some months ago now.  Has anyone found a USB camera or
microphone that works with VPC 7?  I know VPC doesn't support fire wire
devices like the apple isight camera.  I'd like to get on frog cam or
several other video chat servers from my mac (G5 duel 2.0, 3 gig ...
