Best Linux for VPC 710 Aug 2005 18:32 GMT5
I have VPC 7.02 running on Tiger.2, running on a Powerbook.  Windows XP
works fine.  I'd like to add Linux, so that I need only bring this one
Powerbook to tech meetings.
Anyone have a fast, easy Linux for VPC, or even a favorite?
VPC 7, Palm hotsync, finally10 Aug 2005 05:15 GMT1
I thought someone might be interested in my success a couple of days
ago in getting VPC 7 to hotsync with my Palm T5 though my G4 running
10.4, after six months of frustration.  That means it is possible to
use some great GPS mapping applications, like Street Atlas 2006, just

BEWARE!!! ActiveSync NOT supported in VPC 7!!08 Aug 2005 08:24 GMT27
Hello, all.
I assume a lot of you are running VPC on a Mac platform, like I am.  I
have never been sorry I left Microsoft's poor performance behind for my
iMac and Powerbook. However, after changing over a couple of years ago,

After upgrading to 10.4.2, whenever I use Virtual PC, I will inevitably
have a full system crash requiring a hard reset of the Powerbook that I
use (17" 1.5ghz with 2GB RAM and 2GB hard drive free).  VPC will
function for a while, but anything more than 20-30 minutes will cause a ...

DOS program running under XP in VPC707 Aug 2005 22:37 GMT3
I have put off moving from Win98 to XP for years (one reason I switched
to Mac). I have given in to the inevitable and "upgraded" to VPC7 and
XP. With Steve Jain's help I have managed to get Win98 running under
VPC7 but need to run MS Access 2003 so must now use XP.
Serial number07 Aug 2005 18:46 GMT3
When I rebooted from a backup drive following a hard drive failure, my
Virtual PC 5.0.4 asked for the serial number. I could not find my serial
number after a diligent search. Microsoft phone support says they don't
support this "obsolete" product. Any suggestions?

Virtual PC 7 upgrade06 Aug 2005 00:46 GMT2
I have Virtual PC for Mac v6.1 and have ordered v7 upgrade to run on my
iMac G5. My question is how do I go about getting the Windows XP Home
OS installed which is on the v6.1 CD? I cannot run VPC 6.1 to install
the XP OS. Will I be able to do this when v7 is installed?
