date/time questions05 Mar 2005 20:09 GMT2
How _do_ you set the little task bar clock in WinXP so that it shows 24-hour
time? And while I'm at it, how can I get WinXP to show dates in proper, that
is, day/month/year or year/month/day, format? I'm used to Apple ease of use
here...
A much-needed user interface change05 Mar 2005 18:03 GMT4
VPC really needs an option to ignore, or add an 'are you sure?', to capture
the Command+w keystroke.
I get into the habit of pressing Ctrl+w to close windows, and end up having
to wait for VPC to save its state, then wait to open it back up again.
OS X 10.3.8 breaks Windows sharing?05 Mar 2005 06:41 GMT6
VPC 7.0.1 running on OS X 10.3.8
Previously I have used "Windows sharing" in OS X System Preferences to share
my Powerbook's drive, which I then mounted in XP Pro.
Upgrading to 10.3.8 broke this. Now, Windows sharing says

I'd like to use the fonts in the Mac OS font book application in my
Windows applications. I tried to install them in the Windows font
folder and they would not install. Is it possible to use the Mac OS
fonts in Windows applications? If so, how do I get them to install?

Virtual PC for Mac XP Professional Edition or Win2000 Edition03 Mar 2005 18:04 GMT1
I'm interested in purchasing Virtual PC.  I'd like to get  more info.
1) Does the XP or 2000 Edition include an office works suite?
2) Will Star Office version 6.0 load on it?
3) Will XP Pro read all files created in 2000 Pro?

I¹m running VPC 7.0.1 on a PowerMac 1.8GHz Dual under 10.3.8 and I¹m having
a keyboard input problem. I¹ve restarted XP Pro and it¹s asking for my
password to login but I can¹t input anything as if it¹s ignoring the
keyboard.
Clicking on Install or Update Additions does nothing03 Mar 2005 17:25 GMT6
I have recently installed Virtual PC 7 on my iBook G4 and then created
a new Windows XP Pro installation, not a preexisting image.
When my VM starts up I am brought to the WinXP login screen, but the
keyboard and mouse do not respond.  So, I tried to click on "Install or

How to change disk space allocated to VPC 3.0 on a Mac03 Mar 2005 02:33 GMT7
I'm a PC user trying to help a Mac friend who has VPC 3.0. His

only 219mb of free space with a total of something like 500+mb.
How can he change the amount of harddrive space allocated to VPC?
