10.3.8 update and VPC speed08 Mar 2005 08:31 GMT10
Is it just my imagination?  Is VPC 7 faster with the MacOSX 10.3.8
update? It seems like it, but I didn't think to benchmark it before
updating.

I've been trying without success to connect to web servers and the
remote desktop connection on my virtual PC from the mac that hosts it.
Is this possible?

Making an image of a Mac hard disk07 Mar 2005 23:45 GMT7
I got a hard disk with mac file system that I need to make an image or copy
the contents to another hard disk.
Is there any software for windows where I can see the mac partitions and
copy them?  Or any software that can make a hard disk image for mac file
DOS-based software, running in Virtual PC (Windows XP) 7.0 for Mac, can't find Mac modem07 Mar 2005 22:53 GMT7
I'll preface this message by stating that I am an END-user of software,
without any real intuitive insight into how programming code actually
works. Therefore the following question/problem will, no doubt, betray
my programming naivete.

Virtual PC's 28 MB code cache--changeable?07 Mar 2005 19:19 GMT1
Hello all...
I would simply like to ask whether it is possible (through a hack or some other
trick) or if not, an explanation as to why Virtual PC 7.0.1 (and
others) limits the code
VPC 7 and Windows XP Activation07 Mar 2005 10:33 GMT10
I've been running VPC 5 and 6 with Windows 98. That was convenient as
there was an install disk as part of the system. Then I needed to
upgrade to VPC 7 and Windows XP. The VPC upgrade package didn't contain
XP, so I bought an upgrade of that as well. But XP requires activation
VPC 7.01 and Real Audio or Windows Media Player07 Mar 2005 09:18 GMT1
I'm running VPC 7.01 on a 1.25 Ghz PB 15", 1 GB DDR - Airport Extreme
to Linksys, with excellent throughput.
The performance of Real Audio and Windows Media Player on just a voice
radio (audio only) connection is abysmal.   Clicks, static, poor
VPC 7, EULA, and laptops07 Mar 2005 08:05 GMT2
I've installed VPC 7 on my G5 desktop, and I'm reasonably happy. I'd
also like to install it on my G4 laptop. Does the EULA allow a second
installation (which would include both VPC and Windows XP)? I know that
other Microsoft EULA's do allow a installation on a laptop, but this
Capture disk image07 Mar 2005 03:35 GMT5
I have 2 cd disk images on my mac desk top. When I try to capture a cd and
navigate to the desktop one of them is bold and I can capture it, the other
one is not and I can not capture it. This is the one I want, any sugestions?
Is it something to do with how I create the disk ...
Virtual PC doesn't like my iPaq hx470007 Mar 2005 00:28 GMT4
So, I installed ActiveSync (got past the 92% "hang").  I get to the
screen that tells me to plug in my PDA.  I drop it in the cradle, check
it in Virtual PC's USB panel and then... nothing.  Windows doesn't see
the PDA, at all.  Any ideas?
Is there a utility to convert a real PC disk into a VPC disk image?06 Mar 2005 22:09 GMT4
I just got started using VPC 7.0 on a Powerbook G4. I would like to transfer
my old PC to a VPC image, and get rid of it altogether. But I would rather
not go through the arduous process of copying all of the user files,
re-installing all of the applications etc.
Windows98 runs in safe mode and now don't have access to certain    features...06 Mar 2005 21:33 GMT2
I have a Mac G3, running OS 9.2.2, with Virtual PC 2.1.2 / Windows 98 to run
my QuickBooks 99. Now
that QB is being more active in their support of the Mac I bought QB Mac 6.0
Pro. In reading the updating info I found that the Mac version needed to
Windows Server 2003 Support06 Mar 2005 05:51 GMT3
Dear Users,
Would Virtual PC 7 be able to host guest operating systems including
Windows Server 2003 Standard Edition, or Windows 2003 Small Business
Server? If so, are there any major issues?
Virtual PC 705 Mar 2005 22:47 GMT3
I am having to run an application online that works only with Internet
Explorer version 6.  Since the Mac only runs version 5.2 of the
Explorer, does anyone know if the Virtual PC 7.x will run Explorer 6 on
an iMac G5?
