I bought a Mac G5 and want to upgrade from my old VPC 6.1 to the G5-compatible version, but (since 6.1 won't load on the G5) am reluctant to pay for the upgrade without knowing I can activate it with my old software info. Will that work, or is there another way to do it?

I just got the VPC 7 upgrade. I have VPC 5 with Windows XP Home. Awhile back (I think when I upgraded to Panther) VPC 5 stopped working. I tried to reinstall it and even deleted my Windows Xp image. Problem is I could never get VPC 5 to reinstall. So now I want to upgrade to 7

I was wondering if it is possible to run the 64bit version of linux on my mac g5 run virtual pc. If so, which version, ia64, i386 64? Please let me know what you think. Otherwise, I will stay with the i386 version.
