"Printing Stopped" problems with VirPC and Epson CX660002 Mar 2005 18:42 GMT7
I just set up my new iMac and Epson printer. I can print fine from the
Mac to the Epson. But when I try to print from a Windows app in Virtual
PC, nothing happens. When I check the status in the Printing Setup
Utility back in OS X, it says "Printing Stopped". My file is listed. I
Newbie: which VPC is best?02 Mar 2005 15:39 GMT3
Sorry for the simple question -- I haven't seen this in the archives.
I'm Mac vet (and mostly PC-illiterate) who recently purchased a 1.2 g4
iBook with 512 RAM running 10.3.8. I need to run one fairly simple .exe
application for about 2 months. I'm on a student budget, and have
worth the expense? buying VPC w/ Upgraded MacG3 for GPS system?02 Mar 2005 10:41 GMT9
Check it out?  I recently bought Navman 4460 GPS system on eBay ($155
new in box instead $500!) only to discover it's not Mac compatable.
Oops...  then I discover about VPC. Aha- work around.  the thing is
mine is an older G3 Mac but running nicely with an upgrade (Mac OS X
VPC & tiger02 Mar 2005 10:31 GMT5
So should those of us who are in dire need of VPC rush out to buy Tiger
when it appears?
I'd think that VPC would need another stage of evolution before it would
 co-exist...
"Could Not Start Virtual PC Services"02 Mar 2005 10:26 GMT1
This message appears everytime I start VPC (7.0.1 for Mac, running Win
2K).
Everything "seems" to be working OK, but is there some problem I should
be aware of?

How to minimize disk image sizes 02 Mar 2005 08:10 GMT8
I have separate Virtual PC disk images for Windows 2000 and Windows XP. They
are both huge multi-gigabyte files even though I have installed only a few
extra applications in each environment.
Is there any way to make these files smaller? I've tried using Virtual Disk

Unable to print from WinXP Pro in Virtual PC 7.0.101 Mar 2005 22:23 GMT9
I just installed Virtual PC 7, and did the update to 7.0.1, and I find
that I cannot print to either of the
two printers connected to my Dual 2GHz G5 system. Both printers work
great from native Mac OS X apps, but using the "VM Additions Printer
What is VMUSrvc.exe used for?01 Mar 2005 20:01 GMT4
System: PowerBook, 1GB RAM, Panther 10.3.7, VPC 7.0.1 with Win2K + all
updates, and with VPC additions.
A few weeks ago I started getting a dialog in Windows saying that VMUSrvc.exe
has caused an error. Nothing seemed to be impacted and everything worked

Booting up windows form disc01 Mar 2005 15:48 GMT2
Can you boot up windows from the disk that came with the vpc? I was
told I need to either reinstall the pc or boot it up with a disk and I
cannot figuire out how to do either of these. If I try to reinstall it
just creates another pc verses reinstalling over the current one.
Did Microsoft BUY Apple?? Virtual PC GAMES.01 Mar 2005 13:16 GMT25
Microsoft has limited Virtual PC 7 to 16MB of Video RAM.
Yes, previous versions had only 4MB, and 16MB is better.
But by limiting Virtual PC 7 to 16MB of Video RAM, Microsoft has struck
a huge blow, helping to limit the Macintosh in what games it can play!
