Serving IIS via Airport Extreme !19 Jan 2005 10:16 GMT8
Okay,
So I know it's a really silly idea but.... I have a need at an event to run
a webserver (has to be IIS / SQL Server, hence doing it in VPC) but all the
hardware is running OSX.

I used it once, then quit.
Now, Windows XP is asking for an Administrator password.  I never
inserted or changed an admin password.

I'm a photographer and I've used a Windows program for years to categorize
my collection.  When I went to Mac I've lost that capability (this program
is not offered for the Mac) and so I purchased VPC7 in hopes to be able to
use the program.  Unfortunately, I am unable to sort and ...

Registry Apps will not launch18 Jan 2005 04:59 GMT1
I have tried to install and use various stand-alone registry cleaners,
like Registry Mechanic etal. They will install but will not run at all.
I get error messages that they encounter a problem and have to close.
I did install System Mechanic 5, which is a suite, and it has a
Optimizing VPC5's performance18 Jan 2005 04:54 GMT4
I have VPC 5 (running Windows 95) with Mac OS 10.2.8.  Are there any
recommended ways to improve the performance of VPC?  I'm trying to run
a game from 1994, and between the emulation and my computer (400 MHz
G4), the computer just isn't QUITE fast enough to play the game

My VPC sound is gone. Settings are normal, I just hear no sound.
If I play a movie trailer and put VPC volume all the way up and put my
ear near the speaker I can faintly hear some sound.
iMac OS X sound is fine.

Price of VPC with XP vs retail XP alone18 Jan 2005 00:01 GMT4
I just upgraded VPC from 6.1 to 7 with the $99 upgrade package. I had
Win 2000 with my original VPC package and it works fine with VPC 7, but
I'm thinking of adding the Windows XP Pro OS as well. I saw XP Pro
priced at Best Buy for $300-- but you can get it with a new copy of VPC

I just purchased Virtual PC 5.0.4 that was made by Connectix and it didn't
