Stay away from Iolo System Mechanic, it stinks on VPC. Their tech/customer support is also the pits.

Anyone successfully using a registry fixer/cleaner on Virtual PC (particularly XP)? I want to get rid of the bloatware known as System Mechanic. Also, I found out that Registry Mechanic is not compatible with Virtual PC.

I have begun the process of moving my VPC 6 Drives to VPC 7. 2 worked with no problems. The remaining drive however persistenly refused to completed. I always stops at the hardwar update phase with warning that the Certicate (for the CD Rom) need to be accepted before continuing. ...

I'm at a loss on this one. I'm trying to run FrontPage under VPC 7, and everything seems to work fine...for a few minutes (variable time delay). Then all of a sudden the application quits, disappearing completely and instantly, with no error message or anything else.

After selecting "Install files for East Asian Languages" in VPC7.0.1 I'm prompted for a xjis.nls file. Where is this located (it is not on the VPC7 CD because VPC7 doesn't recognize the CD when I try to browse it). If anyone has successfully installed this please let me know.

I have a Powerbook 15" 1.5 GHz with 2 GB of RAM. VPC is still running too slow. When I was running under 1.25 GB of RAM I could only increase the amount of RAM available to the VPC to 512MB. I thought that by adding the additional RAM I could adjust to at least 1 GB on my VPC. ...
