Hello fellow VPC users,
Let me introduce myself properly: I am Daniel, running VPC 7.0.1with XP pro
on a G5 2x2.
Standard VPC has prepared a FAT32 filesystem on my first virtual machine,

I just installed Virtual PC 7 with XP Pro and have been unable to get
it to connect to the internet. After selecting Com 1 to be the modem,
I created my dial-up account.
Firstly it could not detect my modem so I had to add the standard 56k

I'm running VPC6 (last connnetix release) and at this point haven't
really had the need to upgrade. Was hoping 7 would be leaps and bounds
better wrt performance (doesn't look to be the case).

I just bought 7.0 and I can't even run a program that has requirements
of 266Mhz! I looked at my CPU speed, and it only emulates at 295Mhz. I
have a 1.33Mhz Powerbook with 768MB of RAM and I still can't run it. I
would have never bought this program had I known that it would slow

I'm running VPC 7.0.1 on a DP G5. I have 2.5 GB of RAM. I have a Win2k
guest that came originally with VPC 5 (it was most recently running
under VPC 6 when I upgraded to 7).

using info here, i finally got the 6.1 windows OS file into 7.0.
unfortunately, i unzipped the file to my desktop and that is not where
it want this to be.  i moved the file somewhere else, but i can't get
it to stay in my pc list.  every time i quit virtual pc and start up

I installed VPC 7 and I'm trying to use my Windows 2000 image i had
been using with VPC 6.  I can boot up the virtual machine just fine
but I can't get the mouse or keyboard to be recognized.  I've tried
restarting the virtual machine, reseting it, turning it on and off but

Thanks Richard for yr suggestion but it did not work unfortunately. Let
me now list all my problems that i have encountered in a span of less
than 12 hours after installing VP 6.1.
1. windows update not working- it fails to download and install the

Is VPC7 compatible with Cypress EZ-USB AN2135?
This will be the only reason for me to upgrade to VPC7.
I have an interesting USB device designed for Windows.
It is made up of Cypress EZ-USB AN2135 and XILINX XC95144 CPLD.

I have upgraded to VPC 7.0 with Windows 2000 Professional (I need Win
2000 to run profession-specific software) because I also just purchased
a G5 (not realizing that it would not run VPC 6.1).  Anyhow, I have

Nothing works better than VPC6. It is a slight bit faster than VPC6 but
USB still doesn't work.
Save your money and stick with VPC6 unless you have to upgrade to run
on a G5.
Virtual pc 6.1  java related problems in internet explorer12 Dec 2004 21:05 GMT3
Today I installed virtual pc 6.1 in my powerbook. Installation went w/o
any problem. However when I tried to use yahoo games  using IE in my
virtual PC (windows XP home) , it says my browser does not support java
(or Java is not enabled) and therefore I cannot get into the game ...
