OK--basic problem: XP pro within Virtual PC 7 crashed. On restart, during restore, got cmd line message: NTLDR: Fatal Error 2592 reading BOOT.INI. This tells me repair with the OS disk...can't do it. I am running Mac G4 dual 1.25g with 1.8g RAM, OS 10.3.7.

My VPC 7 does not recognize a CD when I put it in my Mac CD/DVD drive (i.e. "does not automatically capture a CD"). The Help says that if that happens, one should go to Drives menu and select "Capture disk" option.

My VPC 7.0 Upgrade arrived this week. I installed it (no error msgs) and imported my Win XP disk image I was using under VPC 6.1. VPC 7 (7.01 actually) seems to run fine, BUT THE "VIRTUAL DISK ASSISTANT" DOES NOT APPEAR IN ANY MENU!.

Has anybody has any success in installed solaris 10 on VPC 7? (It's a free d/l from Sun) I can get the first CD installed, but on reboot to continue the installation, it crashes every time.

First, the stats: G5 dual 2.0 Ghz, 2.5G RAM, OS X 10.3.5 I had problems installing VPC 7 w/ WinXP at first (kernel panics and the like), but eventually the application launched and worked. I really don't know what I did, but I was happy it was working.
