I have just purchased the iMac g5 and love the hardware, but am not
impressed with the applications.  I like the stability of the X operating
software, but just cannot get used to the look etc.
Can I delete (format) the the hard drive and just install windows XP on the

Hi-  I'm having trouble getting anywhere near a full screen display on
my 23 inch monitor.  Even when I enter full display mode and change
the resolution in monitor settings of Windows 2000.  Is it not
compatible with monitors that large?  Do I need a special driver or

Am using a G5 Mac DP2.0 and 10.3.6. Have just loaded VPC7.0 with
Windows XP Pro. After opening Windows a note opens suggesting that I

I have a PowerMac, dual 2.0 G5 with 4.5 GB of memory.  After applying
the 7.0.1 update and looking at the "About Virtual PC", Memory tab,
VPC only reports back 2047 MB of "built in memory".  Additionally when
configuring a virtual PC (XP Pro), there is still a limit of 512 MB

When I Boot Windows XP Pro under VPC7 - I get a black text box which I
have to select Windows XP Pro - Or - Windows XP Pro (Setup)??   The
default is the setup - which I do not want!  How do I get rid of this

I would like to move the Virtual PC List folder from the default
installation location to a second drive.  When I copied the folder and then
launch VPC7, the list did not contain the PCs I had setup.  I can use the
file open command to launch them, but I cant get them to show in the ...

Hey all!  From Windows on VPC7 on a dual 2Gig G5 - I can not make mt
HP2200 print from the optin tray (Tray 1).  It always prints from the
Cassette.  Prining from the Mac in general works just fine - if I put
paper in Tray 1 - it prints on that paper.  And in Windows - I have

Thank all who replied to the Heresy posting.  I forgot to mention that I was
also disappointed in the number of software programs available, and in the
case of Quicken and Entourage the quality when compared to the corresponding
PC versions.

I have downloaded and installed the VPC update - 7.0.1.
I am now getting a warning message when I close certain programs in
VPC.

I just updated Virtual PC to 7.0.1 and now whenever I attempt to boot up
Windows XP, I get a 640x480 black rectangle of a screen. The "Disk"

i get as far as creating the windows xp machine, then load the cd with
xp pro, then after going through the few loads of ramdrive, tools and
