I installed Virtual PC with Windows XP because the application we
needed to run for our business is only for pc.
Windows appears to be working fine, but when we start the application,
we get a runtime error saying that a file is missing.  Is this
Video problem with old DOS game13 Oct 2004 19:06 GMT5
I have Virtual PC 7 running on a G5 connected to a 23" Apple Cinema
Display.  I am trying to run an old DOS game called Squarez.  The game
runs fine, except that the video is wierd -- you can't read any of the
text in the game; the letters are all messed up.
Multiple Questions About VP713 Oct 2004 14:39 GMT14
A.) Right-Clicking the "My Computer" Icon gets me the properties, and
it reads my G5 Dual 2GHz as a 686 533MHz?!?! Uhhh...I have sevearl
533MHz PCs and they aren't doing me any good, so is that all VP7 makes
my Mac a $3K 533MHz PC?
Install PcAnywhere in XP Pro running on Virt PC 612 Oct 2004 20:19 GMT2
I am attempting to install PcAnywhere 10.5 into the Win XP build on my
mac using Virtual PC 6.xx.  When I run the installer, I get a message:
"It appears you have the same or higher version of the Virtual Pc
Additions already installed.  Do you want to replace the current
Virtual PC 6 or 7 & AutoCad LDD?12 Oct 2004 17:46 GMT2
I already have Virtual PC 6 w/XP Home Ed. and plan to get a new iMac
G5 with less than 2MB of memory within a week.
My plan is to run Autodesk AutoCad 2005 LDD (Land Development Desktop)
on the G5 through Virtual PC 6 for learning purposes.
XP on VPC <-> XP on Wintel11 Oct 2004 20:56 GMT4
I have an (old) programm that runs in a dosbox. This works fine on a
real PC running either 98se or XP.
However when using VPC (6 or 7) it wil run only when using 98se. When I
try to run it under XP then after start there is immediately a message
Will update version of VPC 7.0 install on a G5?11 Oct 2004 20:22 GMT2
I assume that the less costly 'update' version of VPC 7.0 piggybacks
on top of VPC 6.1, which I have running successfully on a G4 Powerbook
w/ W XP Pro. What I can't figure out is whether the VPC 7.0 update
version can work on my G5 1.8gh single processor: VPC 6.1 won't work
Installation problem on iMac G4/80011 Oct 2004 20:15 GMT4
My installation problem is simple and irritating.
Click on the Install Virtual PC icon and NOTHING HAPPENS.  Same thing
if I try to copy it to my desktop and launch it from there.  I've done
permissions repair... tried uninstalling VPC6; tried manually deleting
RS-232 to usb through virtual PC 711 Oct 2004 20:03 GMT2
Does anyone know if it would be possible to take an RS-232 device,
convert it to USB, and have it run through VPC 7 ?  Would I need
additional USB drivers to accomplish this?
Virtual PC Virtual Switch Networking doesn't work .11 Oct 2004 18:39 GMT7
I've spent weeks trying to get virtual pc 6.1.1 to work on my powerbook G4
15". I've read all over the internet that there was a problem with the
Airport Extreme cards (can't figure that out for the life of me, and why
microsoft hasn't fixed this yet).  So I decided to use my built ...
Problems with installing quicken 2003/200411 Oct 2004 04:04 GMT1
Hey, I'm having a problem with VPC & Installshield.  I've been trying to
install Quicken 2003 or 2004 and keep getting the same error: during
installation, when the Windows Installer is checking for the Windows
version, it freezes up, then produces the following error:
Virtual PC V710 Oct 2004 02:14 GMT14
I received VPC 7 today with Windows XP Pro.
The installation went OK but when I start the VCirtual PC it opens a
blank screen and does nothing.  CPU in activity monitor shows
fluctuating CPU usage - but no result after 1.5 hours.
VPC7, Create from Dos09 Oct 2004 22:46 GMT7

VPC7 and Pocket PCs!!!09 Oct 2004 22:20 GMT4
Need to know WHY I cannot sync my iPaq with VPC7.  I
thought this was fixed in VPC6!  I desperately need help
with this.  And no, PocketMac is not a solution.  I've
already had it corrupt my data in my iPaq more times than
mpmv Poll....09 Oct 2004 21:36 GMT9
Well since it's more than obviously apparent that VP7 isn't for games
(which is the only reason anyone still uses PCs anymore, right?) What
the heck does everyone needs Windows Emulation on their Macs for?
Thanks,
