Loss / lock-up of keyboard and mouse response31 Oct 2004 11:06 GMT2
Ever since I update my OS X to 10.3.5, VPC 6.1.1 has frequently
stopped responding to keyboard and mouse input. The application
refuses to quit even when force-quitted and will not respond to any
AppleScript commands. I can still switch to the Virtual PC window, and
DNS Error messages under shared networking???????31 Oct 2004 06:02 GMT1
If I use Network Switch I cannot get a reliable VPC network connection as I
switch frequently from wired and wireless networks.
So I thought I would use shared networking but while I can see the network
reliably under this method I get DNS error messages when web browsing under

bought a spiffy new G5 imac and installed VPC fresh- thought that
might help.  STILL doesn't work.  I saw the posts about "start
The real Story about the 2Gig Ram Limit?30 Oct 2004 00:32 GMT6
So - does anyone have the real story from Microsoft when this 2 Gig Ram
Limit will be fixed???  This pulling out your RAM solution is rediculous!
I use my Mac for Video production - and I need all of the 4 Gig of RAM I
have installed.   This needs fixed - and I agree - we should ...

Windows Update no longer working28 Oct 2004 20:29 GMT3
All of a sudden, my windows updates all fail in VPC 6.1.1. I have 2

Same thing happens if I try to play any games on MSN zone (which I have
VPC Disc Image on an External Firewire28 Oct 2004 02:04 GMT3
Is it okay to have the VPC drive image on an external firewire drive? I'm
interested in saving space on my internal HD, and it would be great if I
could stash the humongous Windows OS drive image on an external drive
dedicated to to just VPC's use.
Activate Windows in VPC727 Oct 2004 06:20 GMT9
I am planning to purchase Virtual PC 7 with Windows XP Pro.
I was just wondering if you have to activate the version of Windows
that is bundled with VPC7.
Thanks
LEGAL ACTION AGAINST MS FOR THE VirtualPC 7 - 2GB+ RAM ISSUE?27 Oct 2004 05:34 GMT5
This is too true: I have 3GB RAM in a dual G5, abd VPC7 truly screwed
up my primary drive.  I do not doubt that Microsoft knew prior to
releasing the product that this was a bug.  What really pisses me off
is the fact that the G5 is what neccessitated the development of VPC7.
Installing Windows 98 from Virtual PC 4 disk27 Oct 2004 03:13 GMT1
Does anyone know how to install a disk image from a previous (OS 9)
version of VPC? It would be nice to have both Windows 98 and XP
available because I am running some software that has some issues with
XP.

VPC 6.1 and .NET Studio26 Oct 2004 23:57 GMT2
Will .NET Studio run on VPC 6.1? I have a client that needs me to do some
.NET work and I need to install this. However, I don't want to crash my  VPC
by doing it (I'm nervous as installing SQLServer 2000 under VPC killed VPC
and I needed to recreate the image from scratch)
