Upgrade from v. 3.009 Sep 2004 23:38 GMT1
I need to do a clean install on a reformatted Powerbook G4. I am a
registered user of Virtual PC version 3.0, and have since purchased
upgrades 5.0 and 6.0, for which I have the CDs. In looking at the box
for version 3.0, I am not even sure I can load this original version
virtual pc "unexpectedly quits" quite often09 Sep 2004 14:34 GMT2
Is it common for virtual pc to quit on its own frequently? I'm not
running it on the best of my macs, it's an  iBook that's a couple of
years old, 700 MHz G3 with 640 mb ram. Virtual pc runs well, but when
I'm not looking it shuts down quite often, usually about 2 or 3 times

I'm a new MAC user with a G4.  I have both OS 9.2.1 and OS 10.1.3

best solution?  The only reason I use Virtual PC is because it has MS

Also, the sharing of folders does not work. Does anyone know how to

Will VPC 7 running in MacOS 10.3.5 on a PowerBook 12" 1.33Ghz Mac
allow CD/DVD writing to DVD-R blank disks?  I know that 6 and before
will only use the built in DVD R/W to be used as a DVD-ROM only.

Can't use Command-Tab to switch Mac programs in full-screen mode07 Sep 2004 15:27 GMT2
When VPC is in full-screen mode, I can't switch to a different mac program
by using the standard mac Command-Tab method.  When I choose the other
program (e.g., Safari or Finder), I see it for a split second, and then VPC
comes back to the front as it was before.
PCMCIA support in VPC 706 Sep 2004 20:41 GMT2
I was wondering if VPC 7 will have support for PCMCIA cards, e.g.
wireless cards for the Mac.  There are a number of uses for these
cards, especially in the Powerbook.

Speed Up: disable MMX!06 Sep 2004 18:16 GMT2
I obtained a noticable speedup across the board by disabling the
processor MMX support. In the VPC 6.1.1 Preferences, choose to show
the Scripts in the Menu.  Then in the Scripts Menu choose the Toggle
MMX Setting and DISABLE MMX.  Since VPC has little use for the MMX
