I need to do a clean install on a reformatted Powerbook G4. I am a registered user of Virtual PC version 3.0, and have since purchased upgrades 5.0 and 6.0, for which I have the CDs. In looking at the box for version 3.0, I am not even sure I can load this original version

Is it common for virtual pc to quit on its own frequently? I'm not running it on the best of my macs, it's an iBook that's a couple of years old, 700 MHz G3 with 640 mb ram. Virtual pc runs well, but when I'm not looking it shuts down quite often, usually about 2 or 3 times

I have a G3 Powerbook with OS 9.2. I also have a Pocket PC (running under MS Pocket PC version 3.0.11171). They don't talk. Would it help to install Virtual PC on my Mac?.

Will VPC 7 running in MacOS 10.3.5 on a PowerBook 12" 1.33Ghz Mac allow CD/DVD writing to DVD-R blank disks? I know that 6 and before will only use the built in DVD R/W to be used as a DVD-ROM only.

When VPC is in full-screen mode, I can't switch to a different mac program by using the standard mac Command-Tab method. When I choose the other program (e.g., Safari or Finder), I see it for a split second, and then VPC comes back to the front as it was before.

I was wondering if VPC 7 will have support for PCMCIA cards, e.g. wireless cards for the Mac. There are a number of uses for these cards, especially in the Powerbook.

I obtained a noticable speedup across the board by disabling the processor MMX support. In the VPC 6.1.1 Preferences, choose to show the Scripts in the Menu. Then in the Scripts Menu choose the Toggle MMX Setting and DISABLE MMX. Since VPC has little use for the MMX
