I have had to recover my W2000 disk from a backup and now have about 18
security updates that need re-applying.
I remember one of them cuased a cyclical rebooting problem.
Can anyone remember which one I should avoid please?

I just ran visual c+ toolkit on VPC running XP on powerbook G4 & panther on
some
really simple programs. The compiler runs OK, but all the produced
executables cruch on startup. Am I missing something obvious?

My current PowerBook G4 has been damaged and I will be purchasing a
new one.  I can still work with the damaged one, but it is no longer
good to travel with.  I have Virtual PC 6.1.1 setup on that computer
and would like to transfer all of the data (settings) to the new

Here's how 3 updates to SP2 went. Two machines using VPC 5.03 on Mac
OS 9.2.2 and One on VPC 6.1 on Mac OS 10.3.5. All lost use of a number
of Microsoft programs and services - specifically WordPad and Paint
apps and services like System Info, Program Compatibility Wizard,

Which would run the fastest? I'm guessing that XP may be the slowest as
