I Received VPC 7 / XP Monday. Installed it on my Dual 2gig G5 with 1.5
meg of ram.
Installation went pretty well except when installing XP Pro I had a
little glitch, but if you pay attention to the on screen instructions

I recently bought Virtual PC version 7 for my G-5 and this is the
program which uses SP2/Windows XP but due to a application
incompatibility with Windows XP SP2 I need to uninstall SP2 and revert

Some posts here and a reply by an MS Premier Support specialist
indicate that a drive image created in VPC 2004 (the Windows version)
will work in VPC 7. Has anyone tried it yet? What was the result? (The
neat/odd thing is I took my VPC 6 Windows 2000 drive image to the

tried already twice to install vpc 6.1 and xp pro (G4 PB) to get everything
working including the functions
like drag and drop between the mac and vpc,
using a shared folder,

Cheaper to get a used pc that upgrade my G3 mac.
How can I transfer my XP and my program files from VPC image to the Compaq?

I was working in Virtual PC 6 and the electricity went out.  Now when I
restarted it, it says that it was not shut down properly and gives me the
option to choose safe mode, safe mode with Networking, Safemode with Command
Prompt, Last known good configuration, or Start Windows ...

I just received Virtual PC 7 with Windows XP Pro and attempted to
install it on a G5 running 10.3.5.  The installation went normally
until I pushed the "Start Windows" button.  I could not get Windows to
start up.  Instead, I got a dialog box that had a Reset button.  When

good gawd i hope the final is better.  windows open at a bearable rate
...but something is wrong when it takes 20 seconds to load the YAHOO
home page on a DSL connection....

I am using VPC 6.1.1 on a Quicksilver running OS 10.3.5. The VPC OS is
Microsoft Windows XP, updated. I tried to install Norton Systemworks
2004 and instead the CD installed "GoBack". Now, it appears "GoBack"
is preventing me from opening my virtual PC. The only screen that

I INSTALLED VIRTUAL PC 6.1 AND XP PRO. IT WORKED FINE FOR SOMETIME.
BUT NOW I DO NOT SEE THE XP! I TRIED REINSTALLED XP, BUT WHEN I REACH
THE STAGE WHERE I HAVE TO SELECT F8 TO PROCEED NOTHING HAPPENS... CAN

Anyone got any clue how I can get the number pad to work? I've got the
standard Mac keyboard with the 16 F keys and the volume and eject
buttons, but, I can't figure out how to get the number pad to be used in
 the Virtual PC environment.
