I'm frequently getting system freezes when I quit VPC 5 (Apple Q), and
have to reboot the machine. I'm on a G4 dual 1Mhz system, running
OSX10.2.8. The freezes don't always happen and only seem to happen
after a Win XP session, but I can't identify any pattern - eg: which

I have a copy of W98 (from MSDN subscription) but it isn't bootable and
I'm wondering how I can install it? I have a bootable copy of W2000 that
came with my PC, and that installs fine on VPC. From there I've copied
over the W98 files and I attempt to run setup from within W2000 ...

connecting to the internet?
Anyone else having problems with Virtual switch on OS 10.3.5?

Virtual PC with Windows 98 or XP ???28 Aug 2004 02:58 GMT2
I have a number of applications such as Works, Quicken98, Acrobat, an Adobe
web builder (?) and various others that I occasionally use that I'm running
on an older PC under Windows 98.   Rather than purchasing a new computer to
run these older programs I'm considering Virtual PC.  ...

using IE on Virtual PC27 Aug 2004 23:25 GMT1
I'm considering getting Virtual PC for my G4 PowerBook instead of

anyone knows if I will be able to access Quick Books Online on my Mac
through VPC. It's the only PC app I use and QB Online does not support

After hearing comments that installing SP2 on XP speeds it up in VPC6,
I decided to try it out on a backup copy drive image of XP Home SP1

7.0 performance, what can I expect?27 Aug 2004 01:16 GMT3
What kind of performance would I see running VP7 on a dual 2.5 G5?  Also, I

terms of comparable PC speeds - such as P4 1.5, 2.0, 3G, etc.  ...
