1. When shutting down the choices are to:
Carry forward HD changes
Save HD changes
Discard HD changes

I am running Norton Anti-virus software on my PowerBook.  My questions
is, however, should I be running anti-virus software in the WindowsXP
environment of VirtualPC.
There is a web-based program I use from the WindowsXP desktop that

i have a powerbook g4 and i use virtual pc6 to run my cad software. i
never had any printing problems in the past via an airport, but just
reciently i had to rebuild my harddrive and ever since i got the
virtual pc running again i havent been able to print, i have tried all

I am trying to get my Treo600 to sync with ACT! for Windows (about the  
only software I can't live w/o in Mac land).
'Palm Desktop and Synchronization Software.msi' won't install.
'PalmDesktop41ENG.exe' won't install.

I am running Mac OS 10.3.4 and I've just installed VPC6.1 on the
machine using the "Shared Networking" option, IP obtained
automatically and DNS obtained automatically.  All my internet
connections are going fine on the Mac interface running through

I have problem with VPC it will not work properly, any hints how to get
it to work?

Well, I finally talked myself into it and ordered my 15" PB today. My
goal is to make it my primary work machine. My company uses a
CheckPoint VPN for remote connectivity, and so I require the
CheckPoint SecureClient to tunnel into the corporate network and

I'd like to make a LINUX partition on VPC. Can I make it out of a set of RH
LINUX instalation CDs or do I have to download a VPC LINUX pre-installed
partition ?

I can use the collective wisdom in this group in regard to adding PC and
Windows capability. I use a G4 running system 10.2.8.
To me, advantages of using Virtual PC are:
Lower intial cost

I have a powerbook G3 and the VPC 4. I would like to upgrade to the
latest VPC version (7?) but perhaps this would have to be done in
steps, from 4 to 5, then from 5 to 6 and so on. Is this necessary or
can you just whack a 7 in? If the steps are necessary, how can I get

Ok, well I finally succeeded in getting the Palm Desktop to install in  
WinXP (running under VPC 6.1 in Mac OS 10.3.4/Panther).
But I can't get HotSync to work.
I connected the USB port in WinXP/VPC to "USB Device from Apple Computer"  

Using OSX 10.3.4 on new Powerbook.
Installed all Apple updates.
Installed Virtual PC 6.1, and update to 6.1.1.
Created 10gb drive and then installed XP on it. Then XP Service Pack

Is there any way to have the 'mac' key respond like the windows key is  
supposed to work in Windows?
i.e. in WinXP, if I press Win+D, it will reveal the desktop (something I  
do much more often than I realized until I can't do it any more).

Problem Description: After installing and upgrading to VPC 6.1.1,
Windows XP presents a dialog box that states "This copy of Windows
must be activated with Microsoft before you can log on. Do you want to
activate Windows now? Yes or No"

Anyone have experience how airplane radio control simulation, and/or
airplane simulation programs work on a Mac using Virtual PC. I have a
2 year old I Mac and a 6 month old Power book......G4's.
