I am trying to get my Treo600 to sync with ACT! for Windows (about the only software I can't live w/o in Mac land). 'Palm Desktop and Synchronization Software.msi' won't install. 'PalmDesktop41ENG.exe' won't install.

I have a powerbook G3 and the VPC 4. I would like to upgrade to the latest VPC version (7?) but perhaps this would have to be done in steps, from 4 to 5, then from 5 to 6 and so on. Is this necessary or can you just whack a 7 in? If the steps are necessary, how can I get

Ok, well I finally succeeded in getting the Palm Desktop to install in WinXP (running under VPC 6.1 in Mac OS 10.3.4/Panther). But I can't get HotSync to work. I connected the USB port in WinXP/VPC to "USB Device from Apple Computer"

Is there any way to have the 'mac' key respond like the windows key is supposed to work in Windows? i.e. in WinXP, if I press Win+D, it will reveal the desktop (something I do much more often than I realized until I can't do it any more).
