Hello, Does the new powerpoint for mac 2008 open pptx files made on windows machines? It would not do it on my new intel mac.

My boss is trying to insert a movie, created on a Mac, to a PowerPoint presentation on her Windows pc. The file extension is .mp4. It won't play. Should she change the extension? And, if so, to what?

I have many years experience using Powerpoint for Windows. I just purchased an iMac and an "Office 2008 for Mac" to use on it. I am dismayed to find that I can no longer fill objects with patterns (cross-hatch, dots, etc). I regularly use Powerpoint as a design tool and such patterns

When I create a PPT presentation, there is room for notes below the slide. When I connect to a projector, I'd like to see the full slide on the screen but still have the view with the notes and slide list on my MAC. Any ideas?
