Does anyone have a solution to the following problem: .AVI videos (eg. MPEG4v3 or WMV9 codecs) do not play (only a black box appears) in Powerpoint unless the extension is renamed to .WMV or .MPG. The videos are in the same folder as the presentation on the desktop. I am aware of ...

I'm looking for an alternative to the late (and at least in my case) lamented .lst files that used to be part of using Powerpoint. Trying to launch one yields a dialog that states they are no longer supported (true) and to search the PPT help for the alternatives

I have created a ppt which contains 5 minutes of narration for a college class. This ppt is now over 50 MB!!!! The sample that was provided by my professor was only 6 MB with 5 minutes of narration.

Powerpoint claims to be saving Autorecover files every 10 minutes (as it's set to do). But when Powerpoint stops responding (which seems to happen when I accidentally hit F13--right above the delete key --I need to disable that!) and I "Force Quit" no recovery files are used

Is it possible to export PPT slides with animations as layered PSD files so that you can recreate the animations in FCP - essentially fading up lines of text or graphics that appeared as animations in the PPT presentation?
