Hi; I am working in PowerPoint (version x) for the first time. I am struggling with making use of the portion of the interface on the left. it shows just the text of slides.

When opening a slide / presentation in full screen mode on the Mac Book the slide does not expand to the full width of the screen. There is a black border on each side of the slide. Does anyone know how to get rid of these?

In my line of work, I have to prepare presentations that I typically have to circulate as PowerPoint documents (.ppt files). The recipeints of the file typically want to print it out, so a .pps does not work. I also use a lot of graphics that I import from files.
