random slides17 Feb 2005 14:30 GMT1
How do I use Virtual Basic and macros and action buttons to randomise the
order of slides in a PowerPoint presentation?
I'm in education and randomising slides is fairly crucial to me. I've
searched the net and found Virtual Basic routines (presumably for Windows)

write only format14 Feb 2005 18:25 GMT2
I have a presentation of approx 250MB.  My computer has 1G of Ram.  I was
told that if I change my presentation to a write only format it would open
much quicker.
If I do that, how do I change it back so I can edit it?
PPT Mac to PC missing images13 Feb 2005 18:00 GMT3
Has anyone else had trouble with graphics and charts when sending PPT
files from Mac to PC? My presentations often look fine on the Mac, but
when I send them to PC users (using XP or 2000), they get big red X
boxes, or text to the effect that the images are unsupported QuickTime
Animation compatibility - Mac to PC?13 Feb 2005 16:46 GMT3
Greetings all - It's been a while since I've posted here - I was
running PPT '98 on OS 9 for the longest time, but in the last month
we've finally upgraded to OS X (yay!!!) and have gone straight to PPT
2004 so it looks like I've got some quick learning to do!

Hi --
I currently have a client who needs .ppt for use on his PC as opposed to
the PDFs that we've been sending prior to presentation.  There have been a
couple of errors in the translation:

JPEG Image Quality in PPT10 Feb 2005 05:02 GMT5
I update and make fine tune adjustments to my large PPT presentation
very frequently. (It now is in PPT 2004 for Mac.) I save the same PPT
program a lot. There are over 150 JPEG photo images in the program.
Does saving PPT files frequently as I do have any impact on the image
Slide Sorter: Mac vs Win Powerpoint09 Feb 2005 05:11 GMT18
I had hoped to be able to edit Powerpoint files on both
the Mac and PC.
The slidesorter redraws the screen wery rapidly in the
Windows version.
PPT File Size Guidelines09 Feb 2005 05:11 GMT2
I have a 200 slide PPT presentation - 55 megabyte total with at least
150 JPG images. (bird and nature photos.)  When I used PPT 2002 for PC,
I divided the one large file into three separate files and connected
them during my presentation with hyperlinks.  I just converted these
Scaling down image file size in an existing Powerpoint Presentation07 Feb 2005 19:59 GMT10
I have developed and archived a number of Powerpoint lectures, in which
I have mindlessly inserted images that are VERY high resolution (and
therefore MUCH larger image files than I really need).
In some of these presentations, images that should have optimally been
PPT 2004 - Slideshow and vertical hold06 Feb 2005 22:57 GMT3
I have encountered something with PowerPoint for Mac 2004 recently that is
so odd, I felt certain that it would be all over the Microsoft Support Site,
or at least noted in the newsgroup. (It probably is, and my skimming through
old posts wasn't as diligent as I believed...)
How to print comment text in PowerPoint 2003?06 Feb 2005 05:26 GMT8
I have added several comments on a slide using PowerPoint 2003, and I
want to have them printed out along with the slide. When I select “Print
comments and markup” I seem to only get the reviewer’s initials (the
actual comment text does not get printed).
