Is there a way in PowerPoint X on the Mac to change the default line and fill colors for new charts? Every time we change the fill colors in the preferences of Graph, and make a new chart, the colors always revert to what they were previously.

It takes PPT 2004 Mac 45 seconds to load a screen of 20 slides in Slide Sorter View. The same PPT presentation takes 7 seconds in PPT X Mac. PPT 2004 is similarly sluggish when scrolling or switching views. Microsoft Tech Support had me (1) delete the preferences files, and (2)

I usually put a colored border around inserted movies. In PowerPoint 2004, this border disappears when I play the movie in a presentation (very annoying). It did not disappear when played in PowerPoint v.X. Is this an option, or a bug?

Hi Grayson! Thanks for the link...seen that before but still does not answer my question...I know I can perform a shortcut similar to the Alt-Tab of the PC on Mac by presseing the Apple key + Tab.

Why is the 2003 version so much more robust? Am I just imagining things or is 2004 a pale imitation of the Windows product. I can't find multiple masters, a slide master palette, embed fonts or a dozen other things. Am I just crazy? And is there a decent book out there

I have a file with an embedded mpg file, created under PowerPoint X (first incarnation!) When I created it there was a palette that allowed me to see a QT style controller. However, playing it on Ppoint 2000 on the PC gives the movie and no controller. This means I can't rewind it ...

When I click a hyperlink (to a url) I get a message "Cannot download the information you requested." If I dismiss this message and click on the link again, everything goes fine. I use Safari as my browser. Does anyone have a solution to my problem?

My college freshman daughter has a G4 iBook running OS X 10.3.6 and Microsoft Office X. Most of the rest of the school uses PCs. This should not be a problem, but, Power Point files created or edited on her iBook refuse to open on anybody elses PC. I even had her try
