Does anyone know what fonts are required in PowerPoint 2004 installed
in OS X v.10.3.6?  I stripped the system fonts down to the very
minimum and I now get an error message stating that required fonts are
missing when I launch PowerPoint 2004. It attempts to tell me the font

Default Chart Colors13 Dec 2004 16:18 GMT1
Is there a way in PowerPoint X on the Mac to change the default line and
fill colors for new charts? Every time we change the fill colors in the
preferences of Graph, and make a new chart, the colors always revert to what
they were previously.
PPT 2004 Mac is MUCH slower than PPT X Mac11 Dec 2004 16:20 GMT2
It takes PPT 2004 Mac 45 seconds to load a screen of 20 slides in Slide
Sorter View.  The same PPT presentation takes 7 seconds in PPT X Mac.
PPT 2004 is similarly sluggish when scrolling or switching views.
Microsoft Tech Support had me (1) delete the preferences files, and (2)
movie borders disappear11 Dec 2004 14:44 GMT1
I usually put a colored border around inserted movies. In PowerPoint
2004, this border disappears when I play the movie in a presentation
(very annoying). It did not disappear when played in PowerPoint v.X.
Is this an option, or a bug?

PowerPoint 200408 Dec 2004 16:29 GMT6
Why is the 2003 version so much more robust? Am I just imagining
things or is 2004 a pale imitation of the Windows product. I can't
find multiple masters, a slide master palette, embed fonts or a dozen
other things. Am I just crazy? And is there a decent book out there
Mac to PC: Viewing movie controller06 Dec 2004 18:48 GMT3
I have a file with an embedded mpg file, created under PowerPoint X (first
incarnation!) When I created it there was a palette that allowed me to see a
QT style controller. However, playing it on Ppoint 2000 on the PC gives the
movie and no controller. This means I can't rewind it ...

the link again, everything goes fine. I use Safari as my browser. Does
anyone have a solution to my problem?

My college freshman daughter has a G4 iBook running OS X 10.3.6 and
