Graphs print out with background30 Nov 2004 22:29 GMT1
Hello again
I have created a template with several slides with charts on them, on a
coloured background. On screen the charts, which have no background fill,
just show the background behind them, but when I print them out, the charts
Powerpoint colours do not match up30 Nov 2004 22:29 GMT8
Is there an easy way of getting CMYK and RGB colours in Powerpoint to look
the same as they do in the ³Colors² window and in Quark or InDesign?
For example CMHK 91,43,0,0 looks a lovely smoky blue in Quark or the
³Colors² window, but transfer the colour to PowerPoint and it looks ...
hyperlink base in PowerPoint:mac v.X28 Nov 2004 10:41 GMT5
I'm trying to port a presentation from Windoze to OS X but am having
serious headaches with the hyperlink base.  Although it seems to work
fine under the Win platform, all my attempts at specifying the base
under the Mac have failed, giving me either "The address of this site
Powerpoint very slow saving27 Nov 2004 12:30 GMT1
Just upgraded to Office 2004. One obvious difference is that
powerpoint files take a very long time to save compared to version X.
Certainly irritating enough to return to the old version.
The fast save box is checked (not that I know if this is relevant).
Powerpoint 2004 does not support QTVR26 Nov 2004 03:13 GMT1
Powerpoint 2004 in slide edit mode recognises a QTVR, and you can play
it in this mode. However, in slide show mode, it "plays" a QTVR as a
sequence of Quicktime movies, one after the other.
Also, large Quicktime movies play slower in the latest version, even
Hide Slide26 Nov 2004 03:08 GMT1

Editing text in powerpoint slides impossible with fontsize 10- 200426 Nov 2004 00:58 GMT3
I've been using Powerpoint 2004 for a while.
I'm puzzled about where to submit bug reports to Microsoft. If I can't how
would they get to fix them? In my oppinion, PowerPoint 2004 has such
critical bugs that it is hardly useful. My major problem is the inability to
Problem with font when opening ppt25 Nov 2004 13:53 GMT12
I just installed Office 2004 on my Mac. When I open PowerPoint it complains
that it doesn't find a certain font (the message is "The M S bla... Font is
unavailable on your computer, so PowerPoint substituted another font") and
instructs me to reinstall it from the CD. We got a site ...
PowerPoint for Mac incredibly slow25 Nov 2004 12:49 GMT3
I recently switched to Mac OS X (Panther) from Windows XP. All in all,
a fabulous switch - the Mac is a joy to use. The one problem I
continually face is that, hands down, PowerPoint on the PC is easier
to use and MUCH faster. Everything in PowerPoint for Mac is extremely
Make a movie presentations won't open in QuickTime24 Nov 2004 19:15 GMT1
I have saved a PP presentation using the Make a Movie option in PowerPoint
2004, but QuickTime says it doesn¹t recognise the format.
The extension has been appended.
Any ideas?
Problems with Office X after updating with 10.1.6 security update24 Nov 2004 10:45 GMT6
Hello,
I've updated office X to version 10.1.6 using the recently developed
security update.  I've encountered some problems with files that I had
previously made using powerpoint.  Seems as if the updated version of
Powerpoint 10.1.6 corrupting files on a client's Mac... 10.1.6 then won't open the file but 10.1.5 will ???23 Nov 2004 19:43 GMT1
I have a client whom I support who is running the latest Microsoft
Office X  10.1.6.   Recently, in the past couple of weeks, it seems
that Powerpoint is corrupting his files.   Powerpoint will start to
open the file but will fail when it gets to about 90%.   He sent me

Logitech claims it is for PC only, but I was able to pair the device
with my mac's internal bluetooth.  The Logitech software will not

PPT v.X and 200418 Nov 2004 17:40 GMT1
Sorry to bother you with this, but it seems PPT 2004 does not qualify as a
usable product for use in-class presentations when I want to imbed QT
movies. My question is whether I can have both Office v.X and 2004 installed
on my laptop at the same time. If yes, I could revert back to ...
