I was wondering if anyone knows what kind of device i need to get 5.1
analogue out from the macbook's optical audio out.
Basically i have some creative 5.1 speakers and they get their audio in

I have a PowerBook G4 that can read/write DVDs.  I have a DVD I can play
on the recorder.  When I copy it on my Mac it copies with no problem,
but if I play it with DVD Player it freezes at the same spot every time.  
Even it I eject and reload it it does the same thing -- copies ...

I just recently picked up a PowerBook 180c real cheap, but it has a
problem. When it's running, the monitor has a white strip about one
inch high running across the bottom. Does anyone have any advice on how
to fix it? I know it's old, but I hate to give up on it so quickly.
