MacBook cuts off24 Sep 2006 22:24 GMT21
Hello all...  I got a MacBook a few months ago and it has been working
fine until recently.  Lately, it has been just cutting off.  Right in
the middle of any task it just goes, "click," and it's powered down.
It starts back up OK, but this problem is starting to worry me.  It's

Hi @all,
I am about to buy a macbook pro and would need some practical advice
how to proceed best. The idea is to buy that item in the US directly at
an Apple retail store to take advantage of the current exchange rate

Hey all, kind of late to the game here, but I'm thinking about going
wireless in my home.  I currently use cable for internet, but I'm also
considering switching to Verizon DSL, as it's much cheaper in my area.
This is primarily for an iBook G4 with an Airport Ex. card.  I was

A few weeks ago, I started getting a blink... the screen came on, then
Lombard not holding date/time?13 Sep 2006 17:11 GMT4
OK, my Lombard/400 was not holding date/time (kept getting the
startup warning "Your Macintosh's clock is set to a year before 1973...).
So I ordered and installed a brand new parm battery, set the control
panel, and it's *still* not holding the date/time (same startup mesage).
10.3.6 battery problem13 Sep 2006 10:43 GMT5
Somebody suggested applying Apple's Battery Update 1.1.  I tried it but
got the message that it cannot be installed on my powerBook G4 because
it is "not necessary."
Meanwhile, the problem continues.

My PowerBook G4 (aluminum) battery, which hasn't given me trouble so far (but
see below), today suddenly won't charge beyond 57%.  I tried resetting PRAM

that I can/should do?  Suggestions would be greatly ...

the casing of the LCD/Lid is now pulled out and broken.
I'd like to try to open the LCD casing in order to see if I can remedy
