OK, my Lombard/400 was not holding date/time (kept getting the startup warning "Your Macintosh's clock is set to a year before 1973...). So I ordered and installed a brand new parm battery, set the control panel, and it's *still* not holding the date/time (same startup mesage).

Somebody suggested applying Apple's Battery Update 1.1. I tried it but got the message that it cannot be installed on my powerBook G4 because it is "not necessary." Meanwhile, the problem continues.

I've got a nasty hinge break on my TiBook 667 Mhz. It's the top half of the right hinge and it's cracked so that stuff that used to be inside the casing of the LCD/Lid is now pulled out and broken. I'd like to try to open the LCD casing in order to see if I can remedy
