Just Installed Norton Utilities.  When I run Disc Doctor ( SystemWorks
for Macintosh.
Version 7.0.3r006) or any of the other utilities, my HD doesn't show up

I have a Powerbook G4 with two batteries. Once the first battery runs
out I put the other one in and vice versa.

I have a Powerbook G4/400 (Titanium) recently updated to 10.4.7.
I don't usually shutdown the machine (hardly ever), but had have to do
this a few time recently. Today, the machine would not boot after a
shutdown (restarting was OK). I hear the startup chime, then nothing.

I have the latest Powerbook G4 with 2 GB, and wanted to record a
soundtrack to a Quicktime movie that I made with SnapZ Pro.
I tried to record the audio track with iMovie: running Quicktime
to watch the movie and running iMovie just to record the audio.

a couple of months ago I bought an Airport Express to connect
wirelessly to my internet connection.. I plugged it in and it worked
perfectly; didn't do any set up or anything! Then... it stopped working
and all I could get was the dreaded flashing amber light. I tried

Anybody have the same issue? My MBP 1.83's LCD wont fire up everytime I
turn the laptop on. Have to reset PMU and PRAM everytime and then it
takes about ten tries powering on and off to finaly make the screen

I've got a Bondi-blue slot-loading iMac that I want to get some files
from. I know I can copy the files to a key drive, and then transfer
them that way, but is there an easier, more direct way? The iMac (IIRC)

I recently noticed that on my wife's iBook (G3 700 MHz, 640 MB, Panther
10.3.9) the Finder always uses every CPU cycle so that the CPU load is
always 100%. about 80% of that is in kernel (system) mode (i.e. red on
Activity Monitor). This is when no other application is running.

my ibook (g4, 1.3ghz) is not resetting the pram anymore when pressing
command-option-p-r at start-up and i have no idea why. i tried it a
thousand times at different times (before, while, after the chimes).
resetting the nvram via open firmware prompt did work. however, i did
