I have an frustrating problem with Safari on my 17" 1Gig running 10.4.6. When I use it on my home or office network either wired or wireless, no problem with response and download time. For that matter, never a problem on any network but one.

I have a PB Ti 500 that the screen is very dark. The only way I can see what's even on it is to hold a flashlight right up against the screen. I have now replaced the motherboard, the inverter card and the LCD. I have a new PMU on the way as well. I know it isn't the backlight bulb

Before I begin, let me say that I'm not knowledgeable about the macintosh paradigm. I bought the powerbook about 4 years ago because OSX is based upon Mach and freeBSD. Knowing that will help you to comment in ways that I can understand.
