My G4 TiBook with combo drive plays DVD's and pre-recorded CD's fine, but as soon as I put in a blank CD-R it comes straight back out again. I have set the CD/DVD preferences to 'open finder' for blank CD's. OS 10.4.4

I finally took the plunge and bought an ipod. I have been reading the Apple site for car chargers but I keep seeing stories of ipods being damaged. I did a few cursory searches on the net and cannot find a guaranteed 100% safe charger. Any ideas?

Hello NG, do you if there is any software or kext involved in the steering of the of the cpu-fan of a 400/500 G4 Titanium PowerBook. It seems that this Book has no readable sensors, so how is that done ?

I am trying to use launchd instead of anacron to run a job every day. Launchd provides the capability to run a job every X seconds, where X in this case would be 86,400. Under OS X 10.4, this is supposed to work when the computer is asleep, but I wonder what that means.
