The iMic has a 1/8" audio in. From my stereo that would be via RCA to "Y" cable with a 1/8" male end. My PowerBook has 1/8" line level input. What's the difference between using the iMic and skipping it? --

Hi y'all. I have an ibook dual USB circa 2001. Recently, it tend to make relatively loud click sound from the hard drive area, occassionally cause the machine to hang/freeze. Any one experience similar symptoms?
