PB 10029 Nov 2005 11:14 GMT1
I have a complete working PB 100, including the external disk drive and
books.  Is there any interest in a machine this old?  It also has the
under the computer battery.  I'm not sure what shape any of the
batteries are in since they are all very old.
strange battery problem28 Nov 2005 23:50 GMT4
I have been experiencing this problem for awhile now and was wondering
if there is a known glitch. What happens is that any time I am running
my computer on the battery and using a CD, after about 10 minutes the
screen goes black and there is no way to access my computer again save
PowerBook 15" - strange problems28 Nov 2005 23:38 GMT7
PowerBook15, 1.67, 1gb, 10.4.2
Left to sleep, when woken it's twice gone to a blue screen, and remained
there. Mouse works. Rebooting doesn't help - it just goes to the blue
screen at the end of the booting sequence, before the desktop loads.
iBook or Titanium?27 Nov 2005 16:24 GMT4
I'm looking to replace my Dell Inspiron 3700 laptop with a Mac laptop.
Which one?  My *real* computer is an original flat panel iMac 800 mHz.  I
got the Dell in 1999 to do military related stuff at home--and I didn't want
to mess around with Virtual PC, as I never got it to work ...
Dead iBook25 Nov 2005 17:44 GMT7
This older iBook has all working hardware but its hard disk is hosed. I
can't seem to revive it. It's a 14" iBook model A1007. It ran OS 10.2
well, before the incident. Disk got hosed via an incomplete erase and
install of Panther, so I'm not sure what's on the disk at this point ...
Am I having battery problems.25 Nov 2005 16:30 GMT3
I just got a new Powerbook G4 17" about a week and a half ago.  I'm new
to mac but I thought I understood sleep.  I brought it to my office this
morning at about 9 with a (relatively) full charge and turned it on.  I
had left my charger at home and the one at the office was on ...
networking25 Nov 2005 15:57 GMT1
I'm wondering whether there is a special mac newsgroup for network
problems or whether I can ask here...
Just in case - here is my problem:
I'm trying to get my powerbook (Tiger) to communicate with my Risc Pc
Booting new iBook with old OS?25 Nov 2005 05:13 GMT9
I just bought a new iBook G4 (1.33Ghz) to replace an old iBook G4 that died.
This new iBook shipped with Tiger (OS X 10.4.2).
Will it boot into any version of 10.3?
I ask because I would like to run some Classic apps and Tiger does not support
USB 2.0/Firewire Cardbus for Bronze Keyboard/Lombard24 Nov 2005 22:27 GMT2
Looking for any user experience in using a USB 2.0/Firewire Combo
Cardbus card on a Powerbook G3/Lombard.
There are a wide variety of products out there. But, because of the age
of this Powerbook it's getting harder and harder to verify what works
iPOD Nano - External Hard Drive24 Nov 2005 01:05 GMT6
Can the iPOD Nano act as an external hard/flash drive to transfer data
from one PC to another. Currently I use little USB Flash drives.

OS X Tiger on Powerbook G3 Lombard?23 Nov 2005 13:49 GMT7
I have one of the "troubled" Lombards which runs OS 9 and OS 10.2 fine
but Panther "broke it"... it freezes after a couple of minutes to a
couple of hours.  I have never been able to get a definitive answer on
what the problem is, but there appears to be a class of these that ...
ipod battery not working good22 Nov 2005 14:00 GMT4
I have an ipod mini that I bought in Mar'05.  I only started using it
about two months ago.  The battery life right now is absolutely
pathetic.  Once I charge the battery all night, it lasts for about 45
mins the next day; its obnoxious!  I contaced apple, and they said that
Pismo screen replacement?21 Nov 2005 22:45 GMT1
I would appreciate advice re a Pismo screen. When starting up, the
screen is a deep red color, then as it warms up, the color becomes
normal. I understand this is a symptom of a failing screen.
However, the screen itself has no keyboard marks or dead pixels, so I
alternate AC plugs for powerbook20 Nov 2005 22:57 GMT7
Can anyone tell me where I can order US and Euro AC plugs for my
Powerbook AC adapter?  I'm going to Mexico in 3 weeks' time and need a
US plug.
The adaptor itself supports 120 & 240 V power supplies, so it seems odd
