Hi, my i have just bought a new laptop powerbook G4 with a Infrared
port and i have a oldder laptop 1400c powerBook running os 8.6 and it
has allso got a Infrared port but i don't have any software on the 8.6,
i have not got the origeinol software for the old 8.6 so i need to

how do i encode the videos that i have downloaded prevoiusly to my
ipod with video. im having some trouble, i can get the video to my
ipod but i never have audio with them, help please

I am buying mac portables for my children (its time they joined) and

hey, my G4 PB won't boot...it won't do anything.  i get the start up
tone, the light blinks a few times and then nothing...HD doesn't
spin, screen doesn't come on, nothing.  i tried resetting the power
manager and the PRAM...still nothing.  tried booting it in

Yesterday i decided to update the track listing on my ipod shuffle,
however when inserted the computer proceeded to 'format' the shuffle
(ie removing all tracks that were on there) for some unknown reason.
Hence meaning that i have to rip all my cd's again.

Hello Fellow Mac Users ...
Looks like some of the speaker holes on my TiBook are plugged with dust?
I've tried compressed air to clean these holes but it doesn't seem to
help.

Any options for getting WiFi on a Lombard? It runs both OS 9.2.2 and OS X 10.2.
I have an older D-Link USB adapter but in OS X it causes the machine to
frequently freeze, requiring a hard restart.

Is there a way to fast forward a track on the IPOD photo?  I don't see

Hello.  I am contemplating buying a wonderful G3 I book. So far I
really love it.  However, the right shift key doesn't change the letter
to a capital one.  I suppose I could learn to use only the left one,
but does anyone know if this is usual or if there is a fix for it.  I
