My friend's computer is acting really strange.  Every time she wants
to type a lower case f key, nothing happens.  If she uses types an

not a laptop.  She even switched keyboards and this is still
Prevent sleep with display closed on ibook??06 Aug 2005 23:03 GMT3
I'm sure this is here somewhere, but I came up empty on the search

goes to sleep after the timer runs with the lid closed, but I want to
Repairing/Replacing FireWire Socket on 15" TiBook06 Aug 2005 19:07 GMT5
A good friend has a 15" 800MHZ TiBook that is in excellent working condition
with the exception that the firewire socket has gone bad to the point where
it has killed several external firewire drive controllers. We have been told
that to fix this problem will require the ...

I want to add USB (1.1) capability to my 1998 Wallstreet Powerbook

Hello lovely MacPeople,
I have been in the market for some time, sniffing out one of these
beautiful machines and have been offered, for a grand, the
following:
Dension Ice Link Troubles (long)04 Aug 2005 05:10 GMT1
I purchased a Dension Ice link to hook up my iPod through my car stereo,
a few weeks back, and just thought I'd share with you my experiences
with the product and the company.
Overall, the product is OK. The sound is pretty good-I am one of the
2GMC/3/16:built-in - logic board failure ?03 Aug 2005 01:11 GMT1
Recently my powerbook (PB15 1GHz Ali , 10.3.8 ) has developed a

mins ) pb stops ``reading'' packets from network . I can see outgoing
packets from my pb on another machine with tcpdump and replies sent
Security Lock and Cable for PB 15"03 Aug 2005 01:07 GMT1
I have a Powerbook G4 with a 15 inch screen and I am interested in
buying a security lock for it. I have looked at the Kensignton locks
(such as the MicroSaver and the ComboSaver) but am not sure which
system works with the security slot on the Powerbook. Can anyone help?
Is a small RAID practical with a powerbook?01 Aug 2005 14:10 GMT19
Does anyone here use small RAID assemblies with their powerbook?
Recently I moved 9 GBs onto my Pismo by ordinary drap-and-drop, it took
me an hour and a half to complete.   I calculate that it would take 12
hours to move 73 GBs into my internal drive's storage partition.
Lost all my playlists!01 Aug 2005 13:35 GMT2
I love my ipod but now it's useless.  I downloaded the latest version
of i-tunes and also tried to transfer a new playlist.  I got a message
saying my computer wasn't compatable with my i-pod.  Long story short,
I "restored" the i-pod, losing all my existing playlists/music.  I have

Anybody have an Ethernet (wired) PC Card (cardbus) that works with Mac
OS X 10.4 (tiger)?
I have a D-Link DFE-690TDX card that worked fine with 10.3, but not with
10.4. There's no sign of D-Link updating the driver anytime soon.
