i am buying an IBOOK 12" 1.2ghz, I am just curious to know more
about adding memory, I checked apple store on-line and they give
for this model a pc2700 module, but if I check the kingston site they

Powerbook 3400 won't keep PRAM settings20 Jun 2005 20:09 GMT4
My Powerbook 3400c (200 MHz) will forget its time and date and all
OpenFirmware settings, if the main battery and charger are both
disconnected. After that it also won't power on unless the carger is
connected even briefly.
Memory for 12" Powerbooks20 Jun 2005 18:55 GMT1
For a 12" Powerbook (Alu, 1 GHz, 266 MHz DDR) I believed up to now I
needed PC2100 memory, but just checking I see I actually have a PC2700
SO-DIMM in the machine.
Thinking about upgrading to 1.25 Gig & giving my son the 512 MB SO-DIMM
Can DVD movies be moved to HD for quieter playback?19 Jun 2005 19:15 GMT2
My DVD drive is kinda noisy on my powerbook.  Is it possible to move a
regular rented or bought movie off the original DVD disc, over to an
ordinary hard drive?  (or does "copy prevention" defeat doing that)

External FW case question18 Jun 2005 22:35 GMT1
I have been looking for an external FW->IDE case that will work for an
internal (IDE) Zip drive.  The main thing the cases I have found so far lack
is an opening for a 3 1/2" form-factor drive.  I have found a few that
support CD-RW, but the form-factor is wrong in those.  Does ...

My iBook G3 Snow (800MHz) is doing the craziest thing:

anything, but I can move the arrow around the screen.. Then a short
Delete key not working right17 Jun 2005 02:33 GMT4
I have a 12 inch PowerBook and something seems to have gotten under my
delete key.  First it was under my f12 key (it would not go down). I
managed to get it out from there by flipping the computer upside down
and pressing the key, only to have it move under my delete key, where

A friend is giving me her Bronze Powerbook, and I want to be able to

MACMALL (AND APPLE) WILL SCREW YOU.13 Jun 2005 19:11 GMT10
Hi,  I'm sure many people already know...MacMall isn't the deal it
seems.  Rebates are a scam...they don't actually include rebate coupons
with your order..and by the time you figure it out...the dealine for
the rebates has passed.
Establishing Color Consistency -- Camera / PowerBook / Printer 13 Jun 2005 08:40 GMT4
Today I had the opportunity to the same set of pictures with some dozen
digital cameras of varying makes and sophistication. What I found interesting
is that the on-screen images from these cameras varied significantly in terms
of how the colors of common objects appeared on ...

Is the 128 MB VRAM upgrade worth the $90 over the standard ATI Radeon
9600 64 MB video card config on the PowerBook G4 15" 1.67 GHz
SuperDrive?  Other than gaming or video editing, when in the course of
normal use could one be shortchanged by 64 MB?  In such an instance, is
