My Girlfriend has 12 inch ibook G4 (1ghz) and all of a sudden the battery stopped taking a charge. It's only a few months old so, i can't image the it's dead. It was suggested to me that the power manager may need to be reset. Seeing as this model doesn't have a "reset power

It think (confirm, please) that there are two 1 GHZ G4 15" Powerbook models, one of which will boot OS 9, and one which will not. Is there a simple way to tell the difference based on the usually-quite-skimpy info provided by online retailers?
