iPod games07 Sep 2004 19:22 GMT3
I wasn't exactly sure where to post this question... But here it goes:
Isn't there a way to make REAL iPod games? Not that iStories thing which is
really just a bunch
of text but a real game (you all know what I mean).

ibook battery status lights07 Sep 2004 02:28 GMT2
I've got three ibook batteries, all allegedly fully charged. When you
press the status indicator button on battery number 1, the four green
lights glow for a short time and go off. When you press the status
button on battery number 2, the four lights blink several times and then
Powerbook 17 1.5ghz and the superdrive07 Sep 2004 01:36 GMT5
I recently purchased a Powerbook 17 1.5ghz, and was wondering what media
works with the optical drive. I do most of my burning from Toast 6, though
will be using iDVD (probably) to produce my DVDs.
I would, however, but interested to know if any other formats (other than
codec etc.05 Sep 2004 01:55 GMT2
I have two questions. Fist, can any one tell me what codec I need to
play a RAM (or RM) file and where to get it?
Also I am using OSX 3.2 on a 12 inch g4 power book. Under system 9 you
could choose how to burn a disk under system prefs (one of the choices
Upgrade Powerbook G3 to G404 Sep 2004 22:23 GMT12
I'm seriously considering upgrading my Powerbook G3 2000 (Pismo) to a
newer G4 system.
The old Powerbook has a gig of memory and 60 gigs of disk space.
The disk is partitioned into two partitions: one an Aux parition (about
"Projecting" live powerbook screen?04 Sep 2004 19:58 GMT11
Just curious if anyone has tried that "InFocus" projector.
(the lowest priced  "X1" model)
The company claims that their $1,000 projector can throw the live screen
display of a Mac up onto a large screen, for many people to view.
Old ibook: Wireless Internet?04 Sep 2004 18:44 GMT8
My wife has an old ibook (blueberry with 1 USB port). Is it possible
to buy hardware which will make this notebook able to pick up a
wireless connection from a 802.11 a/b/g router?
Thanks
WTB: ram module for Original G3 (Kanga) powerbook04 Sep 2004 09:17 GMT1
I want to buy a 64 or 128 mb ram module for the Original G3 powerbook
(called the 3500 or the Kanga) in the same form as the 3400. However,
Ram for the 3400 does NOT always work in the 3500.
Please email me (kaldav@labyrinth.net.au) with your price and size of ram
Kanga Support Group?04 Sep 2004 06:18 GMT1
Anybody know of a site where owners of the Mac PowerBook G3 Kanga
model from 1997 can find info about what cards/drives/accessories will
work with these odd little creatures?
I got my Kanga at a yard sale for next to nothing, and I'm trying to
USB Cardbus/PCMCIA on a Wallstreet II04 Sep 2004 05:57 GMT3
Just wondering:
I have a PowerBook G3 Wallstreet II (300MHz, 192MB RAM, 8GB Hard Drive)
running Mac OS 9.2.2.   Also have a DVD module and the Apple MPEG Card in
the lower cardbus slot for watching DVD videos.
Noisy Toshiba 40 GB Hard drive?03 Sep 2004 11:32 GMT5
I just replaced a 10GB Toshiba HD in my Pismo with a 40GB Toshiba MK4019GAX
HD.  While it spins extremely quiet whenever it seeks (or whatever it is
doing) it makes quite a bit of noise that I find intolerable in a quite
office or in a meeting.
Cardbus USB2.0 + 1394 Firewire03 Sep 2004 05:34 GMT27
I bought this "PC Card" that claims to have "USB2.0 + IEEE1394 Cardbus"
and claimed to work with Mac OS 10.2. Yes, I bought it on E-bay but what
the heck, the price was right and I'd lost the dongle for my MacAlly
card (USB 1 only.)
iBook 12" best monitor solution02 Sep 2004 19:37 GMT3
Hi, folks.
I have a 2003 12" iBook G4 (running OS X 10.3), and I'm having
troubles connecting the iBook to an external monitor and getting good
video from it.
DVD region code02 Sep 2004 05:55 GMT11
got an iBook with combo drive (SONY CD-RW CRX820E). I have a DVD region
2, but most DVDs I watch are region 1. I know I can only switch back and
forth 5 times, is there a way around this? very frustrating, especially
when you can get a stand-alone DVD player at best buy for $36 ...
