This is an Airport beginner 101 question.
I have a Powerbook G4 Ti. I just erased the HD and installed Panther
10.3.5 (it came with Jaguar).

understand that when I calibrate it I should charge the battery fully,
then use the computer till it runs down completely.  Does this mean

I bought an external hard drive enclosure with 250GB to use with my 12"
powerbook.  My case has both Firewire and USB2 connections.
When I first bought it, I would just plug it into my Powerbook (Firewire OR
USB), and it would connect without problems.

I am using a pc laptop
but do not have internet at home
but i do have nics on both my pc laptop and my mac i also have usb and firewire
on both

I never upgraded to 1Gb because I would have had to replace 2-256Mb
chips with 2-512Mb chips.  Now, I have read, there are 1Gb chips out.  
Does anybody know if a PowerBook will recognize them?  I might be
willing to spend the money on 2-1Gb chips, or even just put in one and

I've heard reports of problems with 10.3.5. I'm quite new to OS X so I
don't know how to evaluate the seriousness of the reported problems.
I have a PB G4 Ti 1Ghz that I'm moving to as my main Mac and I plan to
upgrade it to Panther before switching to using it full time. Trying ...

I wonder if anyone here has an expert opinion on the best source for new
batteries for a Pismo (or Lombard)? Are we better off buying a third-party
replacement battery or one of the sealed orginal Apple batteries that
sometimes show up on eBay.

I had this iBook for 18 months now, and the battery life has been around
3 hours. Now I started to get 4, 5, and believe or not up to 6-7 hours
and it seems to be going up with each charge. Can't complain, but I'd
like to know what the heck is going on.

only find Olympus brand which I have issues with their quality in the past.

I'm looking for a ColorSync/ICC profile for a Pismo that will work under
OSX.  I have one called Pismo 1.8 that I got off the net that works fine
with OS9 however it messes up certain apps on OSX.  The LCD profile that
comes with OSX makes my light yellows look light pinkish.

When I unplug the notebook from its power adapter, is it okey to leave the
other end plugged in and powered on? I never thought about it until I got a
Sony Vaio Z1WA with a bright green light power-on  indicator...
