This is a TiBook, the plug that goes in the laptop was bent. I straightened
it out with pliers but it still won't show charging.
I have a dead Powerbook 230, any ideas on parts to salvage, if anything08 Aug 2004 22:53 GMT1
I have no idea whats inside, like any upgrades or new cards. I guess
that would be a start to find out about those. Except i don't know
what any upgrades would look like, sooo any help would be appreciated.
Thank you.

I just got my first piece of responserdware - an old cacheless 233
Wallstreet.
I had it running Yellowdog linux, and was just beginning to love it when
disaster struck.
Questions about iBook and PowerBook laptops08 Aug 2004 07:16 GMT9
I've ready many threads on iBook vs PowerBook, and I'm still torn
between which one I'd like to get.  Money and size are major issues.
I travel alot, so I need something that's very portable.  I also do
digital photo editing with Photoshop, web design (Shareware HTML apps
Screen dimming on startup and sleep07 Aug 2004 19:34 GMT1
I have a WallStreet Powerbook running Mac OS X 10.2.8. This machine has
one annoying characteristic that manifests itself as follows:
When I turn the machine on, the screen stays dim and when the system is
finally up, I can get the screen to full brightness by clicking once on

USB PC Cards and the PB 340007 Aug 2004 06:48 GMT15
In past posts, I have read that these cards will not work in 5300's and
1400's but some cards do work in 3400's.  I have a friend with a 3400
who just bought a digital camera.  Does anyone own a 3400 with a well
functioning USB PC card and if yes, brand and model?
FrankenBook: reed switch problem06 Aug 2004 19:31 GMT3
This is the story of an iBook with issues. :)
You may have heard the stories about iBooks getting their backlight wires
pinched and having the screen blackout. My iBook (700Mhz dual USB thingie,
purchased July 2001) was no exception.
1.25/15" G4 Powerbook Purchase Online?06 Aug 2004 17:13 GMT2
Does anyone have any suggestions on sites still carrying this model at
a decent price?
Is this model that much better than the 1Mhz model?  Any glaring
differences other than processor speed?  Thanks!
Wireless PCI help06 Aug 2004 15:16 GMT4
Hi, I have a G3 Powerbook 300 (Lombard), and a gold Orinoco card. I
just can't seem to get it to work. I've tried using WirelessDriver, but
I have Panther and it doesn't work well (if at all). I have tried using
the Airport software with Mac OS 9/X (10.3) and that does not work
Problem With AirPort On iBook06 Aug 2004 08:43 GMT3
I  have three iBooks and a TiBook on a wireless network.
All of a sudden, the iBook G3/500 running OS X.3.4 is dropping the
connection to the AirPort network at random.
It will be at four bars, then nothing. Then up. Then down. Then it won't
help with copying an older OS between duo and 230006 Aug 2004 02:01 GMT2
trying to revive a duo 2300c i've put together from a bunch of other duos
and for the OS I simply copied 7.6.1 from a duo 280. The problem is that the
2300 feels very sluggish compared to the 280 despite it's processor
advantage.
ipod multiple duplicate genre titles05 Aug 2004 20:27 GMT1
I am getting multiple duplicate genre titles on my ipod and all the
songs named for a specific genre are spread out between all four
listings of the same genre. Does anyone know why it is doing this? I
did not use the iTunes tagging software but one called "Tag & Rename"
Powerbook/iBook overheating05 Aug 2004 19:26 GMT12
I was just wondering if anybody ever had a problem with the Powerbook
or iBook overheating.  I was going to get a Powerbook, but I'm really
concerned about it overheating because of its size (thin, so air can't
be blown through the necessary parts) and its heat consumption.
Keys on Pismo Keyboard Intermittent05 Aug 2004 18:14 GMT3
The "L" and "Spacebar" keys on my keyboard are becoming intermittent. Is it
possible to remove a keycap and clean the switch contacts?  If so, how?
