Is it possible?  I know the connectors are different, but the keyboard
is the same form factor.... and the PowerBook keyboard just feels so
much *nicer* than the iBook's.  Any DIYers out there found a way to do
this?

Every so often, out of the  blue (about once every 3 weeks or so), my screen
goes grey, a black dialog box appears with the message "you have to restart
your computer right now" (something like that--the message appears in like 4
different languages), at which point nothing works ...

Finally, I have decided to make the switch. Well, let me correct
myself, I decided years ago, but have not had the funds to do it. I
still don't, but my friendly neighbourhood line-of-credit says "yay"
on the investment, it also helps that my PC finally died.

Is it possible that the 4 little lights on the battery to my G3
Wallstreet will light-up and the battery only have 3-5 minutes of
charge in it?  
I've installed the 'reset' and used it with no effect.

I have a new iPod which I use almost exclusively in the car. I've got it
hidden inside a compartment under an armrest, where it is plugged in to an

How do you get X to save preferences?
I set my preferences and the machine changes them back.  How do we
save our own choice?

Are they hot-swappable?
Or do I have to power-down before removing to change to 2nd battery?

In Mac there is an address book.  Can this address book be used in
Microsoft Office for Mac?

I have just ordered a new 1.33 12 inch PB from CDW and have received an
extra battery before delivery of the computer.  The battery model number
is M9324G/A.  The Apple web site shows the battery for the new PB to be
a different model number - M9572G/A.

I'm about to buy for a new 12" iBook, either a 800mhz that the local dealer
still has in store for € 899 or a new 1ghz model for € 999. Overall, the  
1ghz
seems to be the more attractive deal, but I'm wondering about one

Fax software problem
Over a decade ago I began sending and receiving faxes from my
PowerBook.  Apple supplied Global Village software with the PowerBook
software.  In recent years Apple has started shipping their machines

My ibook power supply died yesterday.
It is the second power supply I watch dying with the same symptoms so I
decided to open it.
A slight investigation show the following result:

i am using an G4-800-12"iBook and i am searching a way to delete/reset
the NVRAM to the original settings because the ibook refuses to go to
sleep mode by itself.
When i close the lid it does but the sleep-timer-function won't work. I

I am noticing that used 400 to 500 MHZ powerbooks (g4's) sell pretty
cheap on ebay.  I am looking to dump my dell Inspiron (size of a
constuction cinder block) and buy a cheap powerbook.  What can I do
with 400 - 500 MHz? Can i run the latest operating sytem? Is adobe

Anyone know if it's readily available from walk-in Apple Stores yet?
