I've found the problem09 Apr 2004 15:36 GMT1
and I'm actually a bit ashamed...
I began by trying to run an older version of DVD player that I had
backed up which gave me the same problem (although it actually showed

12-inch iBook: 12 inches or 12.1?08 Apr 2004 20:49 GMT2
My semi-original iceBook 600 has a 12.1 inch screen.  Are the new iBook
12's really only 12 inches, or are they actually 12.1 also?
Thanks

wireless card for Lombard (G3 bronze keyboard)?07 Apr 2004 17:11 GMT6
I have a 333MHz Lombard (G3 bronze keyboard) running Panther and would
like to outfit it for wireless access.  Since it's old, I prefer to do
this at low cost.  What 802.11b cards will fit in the PCMCIA slot and
work with this computer? There are rebates, for example for the
Frustration with iBook--no connection after waking07 Apr 2004 02:56 GMT1
This really is getting frustrating having to type a command (sudo
ifconfig en0 down ; sudo ifconfig en0 up) into Terminal to reestablish
my cable connection every time I wake my iBook from sleep.

dead pixels06 Apr 2004 21:25 GMT22
just out of curiosity how many people are receiving new units with bad
pixels. I know from PC laptop use, it isn't that rare. what is apples policy
with replacing a unit with bad pixels, and would the apple care differ from
their policy if there is one?
ibook OSX crash - what to do?06 Apr 2004 13:30 GMT2

debugger (via unconnected/not initialized network to IP 0.0.0.0).

I'm looking for an explicit and simple guide on how to replace the

There must be a web site somewhere with pictures and stuff that show how
to do it. I've just come accross guides for earlier models...

Finder Filename Display Length02 Apr 2004 22:21 GMT7
Hey Everyone,
I don't know that there is really a solution for this, but I thought
I'd ask anyway.  Couldn't find anything on Google, the NGs, or
macosxhints.com, so hopefully someone here has tried this and knows.
PB replacement keys02 Apr 2004 20:50 GMT3
Over the superbowl I had the misfortune of spilling a beer on my
powerbook's keyboard :(  After several cleanings, most of the keys are
working fine, but some are still sticky.  So, I try to clean them again.
This time, something bad happens...
