I began by trying to run an older version of DVD player that I had
backed up which gave me the same problem (although it actually showed
me the controls before the error message).

My semi-original iceBook 600 has a 12.1 inch screen.  Are the new iBook
12's really only 12 inches, or are they actually 12.1 also?

This really is getting frustrating having to type a command (sudo

While FileMaker 6 did some lengthy replace operations suddenly some text
appeared, telling me about the system crash, trying to contact some
debugger (via unconnected/not initialized network to IP 0.0.0.0).

   I don't know that there is really a solution for this, but I thought
I'd ask anyway.  Couldn't find anything on Google, the NGs, or
macosxhints.com, so hopefully someone here has tried this and knows.
