of previous problems with this machine, which would be similar to
Lid hook fell off my 12" PB16 Apr 2004 04:28 GMT5
My 12" PB has been very sturdy, but last week the hook that holds the
lid shut fell off it. I still have the hook, it's the axle the hook
swings on that must have broken or worn down. The PB is out of warranty.
After reading up on the net, I see some horror stories that Apple ...

PB 15" Newbie Question15 Apr 2004 06:16 GMT6
I have been thinking of getting a 15" Power Book. But on reading up on it,
they mentioned that there were some "quality control" issues with it. That
came out of Macworld.
I would appreciate it if someone could tell me what those issues were and
TiBook 400 sleep woes13 Apr 2004 20:10 GMT3
I'm a lurker who needs help with a TiBook 400 mHz.  It's been a good,
solid machine ever since I got it.  Recently, I upgraded to 10.3 and
replaced the hard drive with a 60 gig.  At about the same time, I started
to have sleep problems with the machine.
OS X power management question13 Apr 2004 16:29 GMT3
I'm new to Mac OS X.  I'm using Panther 10.3 on my AlBook 12".
One thing I'm used to from years of using PC notebooks is having
seperate power management profiles for when the system is running from
battery power vs. when the system is running on AC power.  I don't
DVD player no longer works on a pismo powerbook running Panther13 Apr 2004 02:33 GMT2
I've recently upgraded my pismo (that's a G3 400 MHz firewire)
powerbook to panther and I find that DVD player does not start
anymore. Well I can start it and I can see its menu bar but then it
shows a message saying that an initialization error has occured (the
Batch Printing on OS X...does it exist13 Apr 2004 02:17 GMT1
OK, here's my problem...
After years of being able to highlight multiple documents in a folder or on
the desktop and printing via "Apple P", in OS 9. I am at a loss with OS X.
Is there anyway to print several documents at once via Finder in OS X?
Is it possible 13 Apr 2004 00:05 GMT2
Is it possible to make my my Ibook G4 with Panther into a mini
server. The reason why I ask, having an inbuilt Modem and not in use. I
would like to add my Atari TT030. So my I book will become a server.

Replacement HD recommendations for Lombard?12 Apr 2004 22:58 GMT1
Anyone have any recommendations for a replacement internal hard drive for a
Lombard Powerbook G3? I'm concerned about the height issue -- some reports I've
read indicate that some of the IBM drives might not fit.

how to clean my powerbook after a spill?12 Apr 2004 21:15 GMT20
Newbie here, but haven't found a consistent answer to this on the net:
I, like a real genius, spilled a drink on my Powerbook G4 keyboard
last night.  It was gin (no mixers, no ice) that I spilled, about an
ounce, right into the upper-right of the keyboard.  Followed by a
Powerbook battery exhibiting memory12 Apr 2004 00:41 GMT6
I have a powerbook 1GHz 15" which has started, much to my chagrin, to
exhibit characteristics of the memory effect, which makes no sense.
However, I have been using an application called X-charge to monitor the
batteries charge and discharge patterns, and it quite clearly will
