Battery24 Feb 2004 03:15 GMT3
With my Wallstreet PB I could put the computer to sleep and then change
batteries. With my PB g4 I bought an extra battery, but I read that the
computer needs to be shut down to change batteries. Is that true?

dying Pismo24 Feb 2004 01:27 GMT5
I LOVE my Pismo. I have to type a lot. Reclining in the easy chair with
the Pismo cradled between my knees is the only way to type for a long
time that doesn't hurt my back. I've tried every other way, believe me.
It's been reliable. It's fast enough at 400 mhz to do everything I ...
Airport signal strength23 Feb 2004 23:02 GMT13
Hi all. I'm rather surprised. I just installed my airport network behind
a dsl router, and even if my iBook is sitting just a few feet away from
the Airport base station, I'm always 2 or 3 bars down from the max on
the signal strength monitor.
iBook G4 problems23 Feb 2004 19:49 GMT8
I've heard of the iBook G3 issues with the USB ports, the computer
randomly restarting, the video glitches, etc. But it's happening on my
brand-new iBook G4. If I am sitting with it in my lap, working, and pick
it up to move it, sometimes will just die. The power completely cuts
How do I disable disconnection on network when PowerBook G4 goes to sleep?23 Feb 2004 18:56 GMT5
I heard it is possible to disable this in MacOS X (10.2.8). How do I do
that? I do not see this option in Energy Saver option. I would like to
keep AirPort and NIC going during PowerBook G4 (1 Ghz; 15")'s sleep.
Thank you in advance. :)

I've been using a pc's for a long time, and have been doing intermediate

editing, as well as something that I can use at university, eg; good battery

My iBook (14.1 LCD 32 VRAM) broke down four times, had been repaired by

Also, today Apple published iBook Logic Board Repair Extension Program on

I have a G4 PowerBook, 6 mos. old, and it loses sight of the battery.

some battery woes.
I have tried resetting the PMU (Shift-ctrl-Option-Power) and I have

Need Dongle for Global Village PCMCIA Network Card21 Feb 2004 06:22 GMT2
I was hoping somebody out there might have a dongle (aka clyde) cable
adapter for a Global Village PCMCIA card.  Specifically I need one for my
Global Village Model A959, but I think as long as it's a global village
dongle with a RJ45 port and an RJ11 port it will do the trick.  The ...

iBook DVD drive refuses to read DVD's and CD's...20 Feb 2004 23:51 GMT7
I just recently got a used iBook DV SE 466(the last of the old school
